Well i play solo or with my corp mates (people im training) most of the time. I play as scout, Laser weaponry specialist, AV specialist and Commando. I do pretty well considering the amoung of times im being proto-squad stomped most of the time..but my clanmantes feel very UP. Most of them are already going Gal Logi and Cal logi.... even if i try to convince them with skill is possible to hold your own vs the Metagamers... HARD but doable... They insist,and perhaps they are right, that a Sidearm is worth all the goodies that come with these loadouts.. I go around, generally having a good time, I didn't realize I was supposed to be miserable and losing. Thanks for the pro tip! (P.S. One point in ARs. 3 points in grenades--nearly always using flux. Gallente logi at 5, though!)

Caldari assaults with 2x damage mods and 900 ehp 450 each shield and armor, that's amazing. Gallente scouts with 700 armor having strafe battles vs assaults....that's amazing. Don't forget to buy your AURUM I actually agree the TTK could be increased, however that doesn't preclude the ability for me to have fun with the aforementioned fits. You're however free to disagree that dust is headed in the right direction. If they wanted me to buy more aurum (already have 7 dragonfly scout suits) then they'd offer cool new merc packs. If I do bad, its everything/everyone's fault but my own. i cant say for you, but i can say that i have never come across a FPS game that ive been bad at since like 20 years ago and ive played pretty much all of them, except a gap of like 7 years where i had Carpal Tunnel in an advanced state and then that first year getting at it again with damaged nerves, has been a hell for me. But after that and with obvious skill decline, i still have no issues be it PS2 or Dust or APB R, BF4 or Nether to play an FPS and all those games are worlds appart in there mechanics... Part of me wants to not do this, but I hear "your bad, kid" so much on these forums, sohere we go: Former MLG Halo player. Ranked 7 world in HALO 2 Ranked 1 For CoD: Blops(FFA and TDM) Ranked top 30 CoD: MW2 Ranked top 50 Counterstrike 3x Ranked 1 DOOM 95* I'm most proud of that one. 2 successful YouTube channels centering around FPS (one is more about commentary I'll admit) And I dabbled in Quake Arena I'm not bad at this game by any stretch. I'm a lifelong FPS player. I'll admit, as I'm older, my reaction times aren't what they used to be. But the sh*t I've witnessed in this game, every single match doesn't make sense. Maybe it's my PS3, maybe its my connection to Port 80. Maybe its me... over my career in FPS, I've seen so match crap that I learned to become humble really quick. But, when I fire a volley of 1500 damage into another player -and he is still able to run off- I start to wonder. When I walked up to someone with a shotgun, and not even get a hitmarker, but watch my shot tear into him, and I get turned on, I start to wonder. When I'm 6m away from a guy with 1400 HP in a Heavy, and I fire into him, but his Duvolle kills me faster, I start to wonder. When I'm 5m meters behind a wall, and I watch tracers fly off my screen but still take damage, I start to wonder. When I'm shooting at someone and my bullets don't do anything then as I die, an invisible wall appears, i start to wonder. When I start to take damage before the opponent is even facing me and their gun is firing, I start to wonder When my Militia AR can drop a Caldari Logi from 90m out, I start to wonder I'm not naive, I know when the game isn't working. I know when lag is in or out of my favor. I know when software isn't running correctly.

Maybe its your net ? Mine is a 120MBit down / 10Mbit upload connection that allowed me to have 8ms ping times in APB R, i have no idea how much i have on Dust. Well i play solo or with my corp mates (people im training) most of the time. I play as scout, Laser weaponry specialist, AV specialist and Commando. When I'm 6m away from a guy with 1400 HP in a Heavy, and I fire into him, but his Duvolle kills me faster, I start to wonder. When I'm 5m meters behind a wall, and I watch tracers fly off my screen but still take damage, I start to wonder. When I'm shooting at someone and my bullets don't do anything then as I die, an invisible wall appears, i start to wonder. When I start to take damage before the opponent is even facing me and their gun is firing, I start to wonder When my Militia AR can drop a Caldari Logi from 90m out, I start to wonder I'm not naive, I know when the game isn't working. KD is one stat, and it doesn't mean anything unless you are a permanent Heavy who only plays Ambush. If i want to pad my KD, I'll exploit the options to do so. If i want to farm as much WP as I can, I'll exploit the options to do so. If I want to jump my HAVs off a cliff because I'm bored, I will. If I want cook grenades and walk up to the enemy, I will. KD, taken out of context, means nothing. Last I checked I was paid to win, not protect my KD because its the only stat in the game... KD hasn't meant anything since Quake Arena and Unreal Tournament.

Just give all the 'HMG is beast', 'Gallente is beast', 'I'm too leet for this game' stuff a rest, at least until you have the ability and experience to offer an informed opinion.

Modded servers are what chased me onto console in the first place, lol. Even though some console games have mods. I'm not saying you KD pad, but its all about context. If I said I had a 2.00 KD, I would be above 95% of the playerbase. But if i then told you I was strictly a Sniper... that 2.00 would be laughable. Now, if i said i was strictly a Shotgun Scout, I'd be considered one of the top players in the game. What does KD mean to a Logi? I see Logis top leaderboards every game with negative KDs, sometimes with 0 kills even. The main reason my KD is low is simply because my DUST career has been 80% shotgun, even before I knew anything about the game. Had I joined a Corp early on, I would be sitting higher, but honestly KD doesn't mean anything to me. I try to keep dying to a minimum, but I don't check my KD and worry about it. In fact, I learn my KD from these forums when people look it up to post it. But a .9 increase in 3-4 days of playing should mean something, right?

When I walked up to someone with a shotgun, and not even get a hitmarker, but watch my shot tear into him, and I get turned on, I start to wonder. When I'm 6m away from a guy with 1400 HP in a Heavy, and I fire into him, but his Duvolle kills me faster, I start to wonder. When I'm 5m meters behind a wall, and I watch tracers fly off my screen but still take damage, I start to wonder. When I'm shooting at someone and my bullets don't do anything then as I die, an invisible wall appears, i start to wonder. When I start to take damage before the opponent is even facing me and their gun is firing, I start to wonder When my Militia AR can drop a Caldari Logi from 90m out, I start to wonder I'm not naive, I know when the game isn't working. When I run my dren assault w/dren ar (basically no skill points invested in AR's) ~650 ehp.. its pretty easy to rack up solid KDR in pubs. I love running that suit... heavy/hmg needs some attention, probably some minor tweak to dispersion, rof, range, something to get it back on track and useful in PC.. the latest buff was "fun" but not really fixing the core issues, hoping for some heavy goodness in the months to come.
