i cant say for you, but i can say that i have never come across a FPS game that ive been bad at since like 20 years ago and ive played pretty much all of them, except a gap of like 7 years where i had Carpal Tunnel in an advanced state and then that first year getting at it again with damaged nerves, has been a hell for me.

But after that and with obvious skill decline, i still have no issues be it PS2 or Dust or APB R, BF4 or Nether to play an FPS and all those games are worlds appart in there mechanics...

I'm not bad at this game by any stretch. I'm a lifelong FPS player. I'll admit, as I'm older, my reaction times aren't what they used to be. But the sh*t I've witnessed in this game, every single match doesn't make sense.
Maybe it's my PS3, maybe its my connection to Port 80. Maybe its me... over my career in FPS, I've seen so match crap that I learned to become humble really quick.

But, when I fire a volley of 1500 damage into another player -and he is still able to run off- I start to wonder.
When I walked up to someone with a shotgun, and not even get a hitmarker, but watch my shot tear into him, and I get turned on, I start to wonder.
When I'm 6m away from a guy with 1400 HP in a Heavy, and I fire into him, but his Duvolle kills me faster, I start to wonder.
When I'm 5m meters behind a wall, and I watch tracers fly off my screen but still take damage, I start to wonder.
When I'm shooting at someone and my bullets don't do anything then as I die, an invisible wall appears, i start to wonder.
When I start to take damage before the opponent is even facing me and their gun is firing, I start to wonder
When my Militia AR can drop a Caldari Logi from 90m out, I start to wonder

Only reason Gallente medium frame suits are so good is because of the following reasons.

1. Nearly EVERYONE is running the AR since it's OP, Being a hybrid weapon it does 110% against shields and only 90% against armor. So when a Caldari faces off against a Gallente player and they both use an AR? The gallente is at an Automatic advantage.

2. Majority of infrantry weapons are anti-shield, Wait for for the new rifles. Amarr and Gallente players will be crying about the superior tech of the Minmatar Combat rifle, Remember..trust in rust :P

I think you have it reversed? Isn't the AR anti-armor, and SCR anti-shield?

I don't think the new weapons will matter. It comes down to having Armor plates that have more HP than shield (even the Reactive and Ferroscale), so your HP goes up. Factor in the lag, and the Gallente comes out on top every time. You need a Prototype Caldari, Minmatar, or Amarr to match the Gallente's capability at even the lowest lever.

I always knew Gallente Bricks were good. I would picture it in my head, and think "man, why don't more people use that setup, to have 1000HP is insane. Gallente is were it's at." But as usual, DUST players were slow to catch on. And by the time they did, that's when 1.6 came out, and bamm, you have the best lag beating system in the game, and the best system to sh*t on anyone who has any latency against you what'-so-ever.

The biggest mistake I ever made in this game was not taking my 13 million SP and investing it in:

Gallant Medium Brick
ARs
Core Locus Grenades

There is absolutely ZERO other method to play this game other than that if you want to be successful.


This game has endless variations, yet only ONE is worth doing. Good job CCP, you converted another one to Gallente and ARs... you might as well hold off all that new sh*t you planning putting in the game come 1.7...

Well i play solo or with my corp mates (people im training) most of the time.

I play as scout, Laser weaponry specialist, AV specialist and Commando.
I do pretty well considering the amoung of times im being proto-squad stomped most of the time..but my clanmantes feel very UP. Most of them are already going Gal Logi and Cal logi.... even if i try to convince them with skill is possible to hold your own vs the Metagamers... HARD but doable...
They insist,and perhaps they are right, that a Sidearm is worth all the goodies that come with these loadouts..


I mean i know if i played for a good corp with good squads all of the time ,my stats would be pretty impressive... >..>
But using a Scrambler Rifle vs 2+ AR users with Core nades is , even for the most skilled of players, a pretty hard thing to win....(Considering i dont have proto assault nor logi too..)

I ran out of SP, how's your AFK-ing coming along? I hit my cap faster, made more, and earned more ISK.

Let me know when you get that Prototype Suit so we can AFK next to one another in it... Why do even earn SP in a game you have intentions of actually playing?

i can beat the ar on an open map with my lr within 65-80m only its a very confined space but a good one..but sadly not enough to keep me in dust..use standard fits thats all ima use now no point in using anything else till ccp fixes ttk

If he wanted to cap faster he'd ask for a homie to set him up a pc and then get 60k wp's from killing and re-killing an alt with a guy reviving.

Dengru doesn't need isk. EoN. made 4 bill a day for close to 2 months and passed much of it out to their members.
When you're half as talented as what you claim to be, you can get paid millions of isk to ring on a pc team and make more than you make in 6 hours on playing in 1 match.

The LR owns people at range but is best when you don't have cover. the bridge map crossing to different points can be a nightmare when a LR is aware and accurate.

I was just thinking this. I can top the killboards solo with a dragonfly scout and smg's....Although I profess overly antagonistic attitudes often prompt me to assume a player is likely a poor performer...but that's just me.

OP Hasn't specc'ed Amarr assault with 3 damage mods and a imperial Scrambler....now that is OP.

Caldari assaults with 2x damage mods and 900 ehp 450 each shield and armor, that's amazing.

Gallente scouts with 700 armor having strafe battles vs assaults....that's amazing.

Heavies on the end of my newly specced rep tool....waaaaaay OP.

This game is actually getting more fun now.

Raised my KDR a whole .1 in 5 weeks, not to shabby considering i had the game uninstalled for 4 of those weeks.

lolKD... like it means anything anyway. What's my WP Ratio? That I'd like to know, because that stat might mean something if I took the game serious every time I played it.
