just means you either consistently have bad games or don't consistently have good ones.

My isk char that's a level 1 min logi with an SMG and re's has a better k/d than that lol, its basically a dirt cheap suicide bomber lol, a good game is 21/15, blowing my self up as well most of the time but damn it brings in the isk. 2.43 k/d

Raised my KDR a whole .1 in 5 weeks, not to shabby considering i had the game uninstalled for 4 of those weeks.

lolKD... like it means anything anyway. What's my WP Ratio? That I'd like to know, because that stat might mean something if I took the game serious every time I played it.

If i want to pad my KD, I'll exploit the options to do so. If i want to farm as much WP as I can, I'll exploit the options to do so. If I want to jump my HAVs off a cliff because I'm bored, I will. If I want cook grenades and walk up to the enemy, I will. KD, taken out of context, means nothing. Last I checked I was paid to win, not protect my KD because its the only stat in the game...

If your implying I pad my k/d you are very wrong, have you tired ut at all in the past few years, modded to fk. Not the same game at all, servers are crazy modded.

I'm not bad at this game by any stretch. I'm a lifelong FPS player. I'll admit, as I'm older, my reaction times aren't what they used to be. But the sh*t I've witnessed in this game, every single match doesn't make sense.
Maybe it's my PS3, maybe its my connection to Port 80. Maybe its me... over my career in FPS, I've seen so match crap that I learned to become humble really quick.

But, when I fire a volley of 1500 damage into another player -and he is still able to run off- I start to wonder.
When I walked up to someone with a shotgun, and not even get a hitmarker, but watch my shot tear into him, and I get turned on, I start to wonder.
When I'm 6m away from a guy with 1400 HP in a Heavy, and I fire into him, but his Duvolle kills me faster, I start to wonder.
When I'm 5m meters behind a wall, and I watch tracers fly off my screen but still take damage, I start to wonder.
When I'm shooting at someone and my bullets don't do anything then as I die, an invisible wall appears, i start to wonder.
When I start to take damage before the opponent is even facing me and their gun is firing, I start to wonder
When my Militia AR can drop a Caldari Logi from 90m out, I start to wonder


I'm not naive, I know when the game isn't working. I know when lag is in or out of my favor. I know when software isn't running correctly.

Yup, typical FPS player logic:

If I do good, then I'm good you're bad. The game wasn't working in my favor.
If I do bad, its everything/everyone's fault but my own.

What does KD mean to a Logi? I see Logis top leaderboards every game with negative KDs, sometimes with 0 kills even.

The main reason my KD is low is simply because my DUST career has been 80% shotgun, even before I knew anything about the game. Had I joined a Corp early on, I would be sitting higher, but honestly KD doesn't mean anything to me. I try to keep dying to a minimum, but I don't check my KD and worry about it. In fact,
I learn my KD from these forums when people look it up to post it. But a .9 increase in 3-4 days of playing should mean something, right?

At least they eventually go away

Um...hate to say it, being good at COD is nothing to be proud of with a community flooded with 7-12 year olds, it doesn't take much skill to dismember them into crying or cussing you out for killing them. Seriously, I don't take any of those "accomplishments" that much serious but COD is the worst in there. I respect the Halo because i am a former Halo man myself, but don't bring COD anywhere near a FPS conversation, it is a nauseating game with horrible repetition and community.

Also, i find your lack of faith in the game disturbing, patience you must have young padawan. Acknowledge the problems you must, look for hope, you must. The future is always in flux, young padawan, do not let the present deter you.
