Ok lately there has been nothing but straightforward highly predictable matches. every match is pretty much like trading pubstomps now and very few and between are there matches that are actually evened out or legitamately challenging and fun...soon as I spawn into a match it's either I know my team is gonna win when i notice the clone count is 143-23 or I'm on the losing team where inevitable defeat is noticed no less than 2 minutes of the match. Like its either an easy win or holy **** we're losing, just run for the hills and snipe till the match is over...the game then comes to be more like a chore to get sp than, having fun whilst getting that sp. and I think the only people having fun with this are those that have abouve 10 mil sp already.
I'm not..totally complaining, during the worst pubstomps I almost never come out in the negatives, and I know the proto stompers also went through their trials before becoming godlike, and I am coming upon proto levels myself. and playing against such adversity makes me use strategy more than just going PEW PEW...but i'm but a grain of sand in the desert that is Dust, can't control the outcome of the battles, and the battles are becoming less challenging and fun, its either troll the other team or run away from troll teams. |

If you do not want to be pubstomped. stay out of ambush. Play dom , skirm, or fw if you have a full squad.
Sadly for me going negative means going under a 3.0 kdr but hey at least the additional pressure will only force me to improve! Always got to look at the positive side of things.

game is unbalanced and has 0 matchmaking what do you expect?
it's like it with almost every online game though, none of them are balanced.
you will either get stomped on or do the stomping.

Well no most other games i play have some level of balance, Dust is just ******* brutal, ccp could care less about balancing ...which at this point is only making the game playable for people that have all proto gear and weapons already...noobs are just gonna quit soon as they get out the academy, they're gonna be in the quadruple negatives before they get past the militia phase if this trend keeps up. |

It doesn't matter. Close games really don't exist in FW or Pub matches.
Last night I had an Ambush OMS (2 Nyain Squads were on my team) The match was over in <3 minutes... 78-00.
That comes out to 1.7 kills per person, per minute of game time... That mean 26 people were dying on the other team per minute, or 1 person every 2 seconds...

No..when two teams of equally matched players are fighting, usually matches tend to be not cheap...though there are people that are just good players of course. this has full multiple squads of proto players with the best weapons and strategies vs. people that arent nearly as equipped or talented yet
That 10- 30 mil sp makes a huge difference when there is a squad of 6 players that have 10-30 mil sp... hence one of the main issues people complain about with Dust 514 in particular when it comes to pub matches.
This also goes for people that buy their way to power.
And on top of that due to the latest challenges and events, protostomps are happening in pretty much every round.

So you've been playing some Ambush eh? It's a madhouse in there right now. Protostomping at its finest. Those killboards be looking horribly one sided. Hell, you'll see a guy with 0 kills and 10 deaths but with 1500 WPs as the number one player at times. |

-+ of the fault is CCP's for making scotty a douchy piece of s***
the other -+ of the fault is Wanna be players from some clans (not all,but lots) protosquad-stomping in pub matches ABUSING this bad matchmaking mechanic... like nyan san, lotis , prima gallicus, and so on...

Yeah I guess I'll try to stay away from ambush and find a squad...but this this is just...ugh such a disgusting form of trying to force oneself to enjoy a game, the people that are trying to win these events arent even causing all this chaos cus they're super good. if that were true then hell that would be very badass...but no they just have better or bought gear and this isnt even competition (well unless its proto vs. another whole group of proto which i have not seen as of yet) . It's good to reward dedicated players that have played the game long enough to amass such sp...but at the same time its ruining just about everything else in the game that doesnt have that precious gear. which..makes the game very stagnant and moreso a chore than entertaining.
Also I've been wanting to shoot Scotty in the face since I got the first scotty a.i message...
...also i think ccp seriously sucks at programming ai... come to think of it (the unmanned turret's random accuracy or complete lack of accuracy, for example)

There are many players able to run Proto SP wise, but if they are not involved in PC with an unlimited amount of ISK coming in, they simply can not afford to do so.
If there was an alternative way to generate ISK then i am quite sure many more players would be able to compete with equivalent gear.
I have heard never balance by ISK, but it would alleviate some of the problems that non PC players have and i guess tankers as well. I understand this would bring a lot more Proto gear onto the battlefield, potentially making it more difficult for brand new players, but at least there would be more competitive fits on their squad/team as well. |
