You get what you wish for, it just may not be in the way you expect.
Community wants boosted SP - CCP grants wish but triples the amount of SP per WP not the SP earned per second in game.
Community wants scout buffs - CCP grants wish but the "buff" is an increase to scan radius not an HP or speed buff like people hoped
Community wants better hit detection - CCP grants wish but AR's now have COD-like TTK's and another weapon that I shall not name now kills LOLDICULOUSLY fast
I'm sure there are more things that follow this trend, but it is a trend I've come to notice nonetheless.
P.S. if you get a new CCP Dev, his/her name should totally be CCP Genie.

I didn't hope for a HP buff actually, I hoped for a Speed and CPU/PG buff.

I do agree SCRs are strong, but do fail badly in CQC.
My advice would be to armor tank if possible.

Does the ScR's secret sauce lie in the use of controller aim assist? Because all I can manage with a mouse is unloading a dozen shots 3m to the left or right of some strafing ******* before killing myself with the overheat
I can't reliably kill someone standing still either because everyone I encounter is possessed with some kind of guardian angel spirit that makes them randomly twitch to the side juuust enough for me to miss AGAIN with a fully charged shot aimed at their skull whether or not they are even aware of my presence in the first place
it is making me sad |

Anytime I see a Gallente Assault suit my first thought is "F*** this is gonna be tough" as I prepare a charge shot to at least get rid of their shields.

I personally have aim assist off and do just fine with it.
I would think it would be easier with a mouse because of the fine motor control to be more accurate. Sometimes I find myself overcompensating for an enemy that strafes too too quickly (I'm looking at you pesky Minmatar Assaults) because I lack the control in my thumb to be pinpoint accurate. Overall though the controller does just fine for me and I can do well with the Semi Auto SCR.

Interesting. That's what Forge Gun felt to me before I got the hang of it.
I found aiming charge shots of SCR an easy transition after blapping for so long...

Them having more range is fine. THey should equalize the dmg a lil bit but then give scr a WEE bit more dmg.
Scr rifle takes skills. It over heats.

scr is works pretty good in cqc for me.
dont even need to ads just hipfire and bam.
several kills.
or a charge shot place smg combo can take down most targets.
i honestly havnt noticed much change.
all i feel has changed is the fact it no longer takes 2 entire clips to kill some1 with a mlt assault rifle now.
although it seems to take 2 whole clips of an assault rifle to kill a heavy now. they can survive plasma cannons shots to the face now.
i may have to try fg on them next. might end up with same results though.
now the ars as far as im concerned isnt cod mod.
it will only truly become cod when my ever steady rising kd/r starts dropping drastically.
right now it feels like its dust.
the gameplay has felt the same from when uprising first came up to now. with only a few crappy nerfs here and there.
and the forums.
the same too.
always filled with a growing amount of trolls.
with a bunch of stupidity and rage attacked to it.
its best just to endure the endlessly consistent pubstomp after pubstomp until pve comes along with no1 to play the "pvp" part of dust.

Well.
I find them slightly more difficult to kill, but as it is now the SCR is cutting through everything. I'm really worried my favourite weapon is going to get nerfed.

It is. I have had my Amarr logi suit (ehp of 742 - 220 shields with 522 armor) get melted by a SCR in 4 shots since the new build.
