Damage skill buffing was one of the suggested solutions in the Slayer Fit debates. Not so sure about a blanket damage bonus. You'd be lucky to get a 3 percent per level of suit bonus at best.

Since I am amarrian, and I use only amarrian weapons (unless no alternative (HMG))...
I find that the assault suit is my suit of choice for slaying operations. Due to the bonus (reduced weapon heat build-up) the logistics just does not perform on the same level. I think this is something that CCP should look at more. Of course if I use non-amarrian weapons I can run the amarrian logi at full effectiveness.
Make the weapons themselves less effective unless on unbonused suits, just like EvE. This means that of course means that there would be a damage nerf across the board for most weapons, but in turn it should allow certain suits to bring those weapons back up to snuff;
I think everyone can agree the TTK is a bit low as it is and that is the reason why I don't suggest damage buffing current weapons.
Hell I would be down with CCP increasing the heat build-up of amarrian weapons and the assault bonus to them as well. |

EDIT: Holy cow... I just realized this would be an ideal way to deploy minmatar heavies. Give them a 5% per level sharpshooter type bonus to the HMG... bam, HMG fixed and most useful on minnie heavies. ( or 10%, whatever it takes for the HMG to be devastating again) I have no problem with Amarr Logistics. After all, statistically they are the weakest logistics (In theory), but I use them effectively, and find they are the master of defense. With a scrambler rifle, an SMG, and allotek flux grenades, it is the most devastating suit on the battlefield. It even can supply and heal an entire squad, which can change the outcome of a game if done right.

I've got a logi and assault suit and let me tell you, if the assault gets a bonus to damage even if its only2% per level, it will be OP as f***. I already r@pe hard with proficiency 5 w/ complex damage mods, but another 10% would just seal the deal on OP. |

Did you even read what I wrote before??
I said that the way amarrian weapons work, paired with thier assualt bonus should be somewhat of a model for the rest of the racial weapons.
I also said that I would support CCP increasing the heat build-up of amarrian weapons to ensure that difference is pronounced.
As it is right now, you fit a duovolle on that amarrian logi and you are just as combat effective as 99% of assaults. |

SMG keeps going from good to bad and back again. I spent a good chunk of last month when the hit detection went to crap. Cost me kills, deaths, and worst of all isk.

Nope, they end up with higher eHP and they don't need an armor repper, so, in addition to the bonus slots, they can also replace the repper with an extra plate.
Logistic users know this pretty well. I don't want Logi's to be harmless nurses, that would be stupid. But let's face it, they can play the Assault role perfectly.
What would you go for?
Gallente Assault with 500 Armor and 100+ shields, 3 complex dmg mods and a sidearm (slightly faster and better shield recharge).
Gallente Logi with 700 Armor and 100+ shields, 3 complex dmg mods, 4 equipment slots and more PG/CPU.
Pick one.

ROF bonus, reload bonus and innate damage reduction. We need unique bonuses. Not similar ones to what you can fit in slots. It was a stupid move to take away reload bonus on caldari assault TBH.
