To be honest I'm not even sure I agree with this idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway:-
Logi suits get a 50% penalty to war points gained for kills, and a 50% bonus to WP gained for most other activities.
In other words, there's nothing stopping you being a slayer in a logi suit, you just won't be rewarded as much for it.

Yeah that's right logi, you should do nothing but rep me and keep my K/D high.
When your ready to asking people to stroke your e-peen, then make a post about logistics Nope, I'm asking people to discuss the idea that logistics should be rewarded more for support than for slaying.
Also, if this is done as a suit penalty then there's no reason why Amarr logic couldn't be -20% for kills and +20% for support, for example.

How about you just simply give a 25% bonus to logis when they do "logi things" (RRRT). That way, you will reward logis for doing their job, and encourage logis to RRTS. If you do it this way, then people with logis will actually RRRT. If you penalize people then they will move on to another role.
Sadly this is due to FoTM players
1) that can't be right; Amarr logi can't just be Amarr assault with extra goodies; there has to be a downside for it to be balanced
2) nowhere did I say this was just about medics; it is support in general that I'm referring to, including scanning, uplinks, hives, explosives
3) 50% penalty for other suits doing support is no different to 50% bonus for logi for doing support really
I actually suggested a 50% (not 25%) bonus for logis for doing "logi things" in the OP. Rewarding logis for doing support stuff is an essential part of this.
However, people who play slayer logi because they find it easier than slayer assault won't care about that bonus, they'll still do their slayer logi thing. That's why I want to discuss a rewards penalty for this play style.

If I had to decide I'd lump "assists" in with "kills" rather than "support", primarily because people rarely attempt to get an assist - its more likely a failed kill.
