Maybe even to the point of making them want to quit this game for good. But hey at least you had fun, right? Pffff, CCP needs to fix this kinda of crap. Bro its FW, if you ain't got the coordination or SP you shouldn't be in there in the first place.
I'm no fan of protostomping myself but yeah, it is FW. That's not where the problem lie. If there was no proto equipment in pubs, only in FW, nobody would really care about it anymore, all the noobs would be protected in pubs and when they were ready for more hardcore competition to make themselves better, FW is available (unlike PC).
On a related note, similar times in Amarr FW kinda did the same for me. I can remember having a bunch of guys camped under the platform socket on Manus peak at 'C'. We couldn't get them out, and figured an OB wouldn't work b/c they were underneath the overhang until I hear on the comm "Checking... We do have EVE support! Do it!"

Those EVE strikes are AMAZING. Battle over, right there. We had a slight edge to begin with, but this sealed it.
