The idea behind this suit spec is to have a dedicated medic class that trades offensive firepower for an unrivaled ability to provide support to the team. Here's the basic specs I've thought of so far -
20-25% more HP than comparable light frames -5% speed 2 equipment slot at standard. 3 at adv and proto a built in nano injector that scales with suit level i.e. a std suit = std injector and a proto suit = proto injector 20-25% more cpu/pg than comparable light frames no light weapon slot (sidearms only!)
Medic suit bonus - 2% to the efficacy of equipment per level i.e. hives have 2*x% more nanite clusters, and repair tools heal 2*x% more hp.
Racial specs would be entirely equipment based, like the Amarr medic would have a boost to uplinks and so on. |

I always said the Commando should have been light frame, the Logi a Heavy. But yeah so your would have this new suit do essentially what the logi should have been doing all along.

Been saying we needed a real medic suit for a while. +1
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

The idea behind it being a light frame is that it'd be fast enough to pop from fight to fight keeping multiple groups up and fighting.
I remember the type two scout from closed beta ( it had two equipment slots at the cost of a sidearm slot, for anyone who didn't know) and it let me play that sort of fast paced triage role and I loved it. This suit is simply expanding on the idea of that sort of "being where you're needed most, and fast" sort of medic role. |

if you outfit a logi right, you can come pretty close to what your saying. their is no point to do that when they have other things to work on like the pilot dropsuit. that would help move the game along a lot better than creating basically a duplicate suit.

I know they have much better things to work on, I just REALLY miss my type-2 scout suit.
In any case, it's the suit spec bonus that would make the most difference here. It would let CCP tweak the efficacy of equipment so that the dedicated medics can keep playing their favored role while letting logistics keep their jack of all trades/combat engineer feel that they currently have. |

Racial specs would be entirely equipment based, like the Amarr medic would have a boost to uplinks and so on. *own emphasis added* So what you are saying is that you want an advanced non-logi light suit to be able to bring the same, or greater, amount of equipment into an engagement as a proto logi.
I appreciate the effort, but this is a bad idea. Give it 1 slot at adv/proto if you want a built-in nanite. Then it would have a benefit to the suit from the base light suit, as well as giving the added benefit of forcing the wearer into adv since the std/mil nanite is useless for anything but WP farming in a battle anyway.
Sorry, but as it stands, this is a bad idea. But it has some promise. |

You have essentially created a Logi suit.
But yea I want the type 2 scout back as well, not just for medic purpose but as a infiltrator or whatever you can come up with.
Like the idea of a scout who is more equipment oriented with bonuses for equipment effectiveness. That will do a lot to create a unique scout. |

Why should bringing in extra equipment be a job that only logis can do? A new spec that is less offensively focused in return for being able to get the most out of equipment would give players more choices in playstyle. That's not a bad thing. |

Fast medic = assault properly fit fast with good health and able to triage. My logi is frontline medic I can stand with the big boys healing and even get a kill every so often. |

So it's nice to see a modified attempt to return the Type II / B Class / vk.1.....
But I'm sorry to say that it may be an undershot. I understand you gotta prevent the OP stuff but seriously shoot for the moon when you're talking about light frames.
-HP/Speed adjustment seems fine, it may differ from the actual Type II but the premise is the same. - 2 EQ at Std. 3 at ADV & PRO seems a little off. 3 at PRO only and you can build perhaps better base stats
-Sidearms only- I can't say it's a bad idea but it won't work at today's progress. There simply aren't enough Sidearms to make it appealing, just as the heavy doesn't appeal to many because of lack of heavy weapons. Strictly speaking the SMG would seem to be a must on that suit, just to keep up a level versatility (ie Mini-AR). I'd say wait until more Mini-Weapons appear; the SMG is like a Mini AR but the Pistols don't function very well as Mini-Light Weapons. If we had a 40 meter Sidearm, a shotgunnesque sidearm, and the Magsec SMG then I would say go for it, but the effective range and options seem a little too limited to begin limiting suits to sidearms.
-EQ Bonus - Yes but on a side note, you are strictly thinking medic-scouts. They were a popular method of running Type II but so were RE's + Nanohive. In essence this suit is not going to be used purely for medical, it's a Type II after all. So keep that in mind when talking about EQ bonus. It would be better to have cost reductions as a bonus instead, so it would cohesively work with RE's, Scanners, and Uplinks (you can't have a 1/5 of an extra spawn). This route would lead to a more dynamic Module rig since Module Options are more numerous than EQ Options.
-Extra CPU/PG - Again same premise as the Type II so yes.
OK Now if I was to redesign the Type II, as you have obviously done so, here are some differences: + 180 Melee Damage, yes 180 + Stamina Buff, 220 innate + Stamina Regen Nerf, 18.5 /s + Shield Regen Nerf, 36 hp/s + Scan Precision Buff, 37.5 Innate
Now I bet you are thinking "WTF mate" but this really would be the "Heavy of Light Frames". It has innate Tanking rather than regeneration, which opposes what the normal scout has going for it. Of course when compared to medium/heavy frames it still reflects a light frame. This suit takes the melee bonus to the fuckin summit since it only has a single weapon. The suit becomes more about Equipment that way but picking up slack at the same time and an overall more fun suit [ Long Live Kung Fu Type Two! ] So this suit can probably run the same distance as a scout when both use stamina to depletion, it just does it slower. It has more HP but less innate regen ability. The precision buff is the wildcard. It opens up the possibility of a "scout hunter". It's a big precision gap but that's because the Scouts have a major per-level Profile advantage. Basically a scout wouldn't be able to sneak up on a Type II within it's passive, making things a little spicier for the light frames.
OK I'm done
