When the P2P market is finally implemented. i know there will a corp or an alliance that will have enough isk to monopolize the officers gun market. They will try to buy officers weapons from all the players, and when those weapons become needed. They will flood the market with them, putting any price they want and making a ridiculous profit in the process.
Yeah I know you guys will do that, don't even think about doing that. |

Well, since I refuse to sell any of my officer gear and I won't buy any officer gear until there is an Officer's Plasma Cannon I say go for it guys. It would probably make for some pretty hilarious QQing.

Yes i know that, but why would I try to sell them, If there will be someone else that will put half of the price just to kill the competition. |

Or smarter smaller corps can effectively hold off and stock pile their own buying a reduced rates the officer gear and hoarding it within corp until the investment, and market stabilise.
If you plan to see your officer guns to big name corps like this you are effectively causing yourself a major headache, and ******* your corp over in the long run.

I will buy my Thales from my own corp then smaller ones. I will offer a very fair price. I will offer 5X the current price of the most expensive proto sniper weapon. All I want is Thales, I will also trade one for ones. I will not pay for anything higher for this is a rip off and I know I can work hard and eventually get them in matches. I have the ISK so if you do expect to sell them i am ISK rich and have nothing better to do with my money, and no you cant have any for free, but I do have ways you can earn some. Ask other players for I have given millions out and will give out more in the future. |

Its kind of hard to monopolize items that are random generated for everyone by just playing the game...... Honestly nobody really knows whats going to happen. This sort of thing only happens in eve because a big corp takes over the PRODUCTION of a certain item. They create a scenario where only their corp is capable of making a certain item, and then drive the price way up. Buying and selling can work, but in Dust's case its kind of difficult simply because of 1.) THE sheer volume of weapons that will be for sale on the market. and 2.) the fact that these weapons can be random generated and nobody really "needs" them to begin with.
so will a monopoly happen? Maybe. But like I said, its really hard to monopolize a resource you don't truly control.

EVE players will probably be making our gear, but need specific raw materials that they can only get from us to do so. Throw in a high duty EVE => Dust ISK exchange rate, and instant player driven economy.
So simple CCP could have done it a year ago.

They cannot control the generation of the weapons, but they can put a price that will sound more attractable than playing 50 battles to get 1 Thale. |

The officer Weapons I have, but don't intend on using will be available for trade to my Corp members only. I recommend everyone else employ this simple practice, to ensure the integrity of the Market.
