So did half the guys I killed while running black eagles after watching me run 60 AR rounds then charge them with a shot gun.

It lacks the tools to get behind lines in any stealthy way.... unless you count falling from a Dropship. |

That's funny because a commandos purpose is to complete missions behind enemy lines, not in new Eden I guess.

As for the slot issue, yes it sucks.... though (and I may be wrong) Amarr are one less slot than the other Factions. So the other suits will have a better slot layout, no? |

Imo it should just get a bit more HP, a reduction in cost, and a fix to its slot layout across tiers. |

To give my two cents on what the Commando "should" be; my impression was that it was intended to fulfil a kind of action hero role you get in most other FPS games.
High health & two light weapons seems perfect for that. However CCP threw in all the downsides and more, that you would expect for trying to construct such a thing in New Eden. I gave a list of IMO needed buffs to the Commando. Now that I've seen arguments for the spec ops nature of the suit, I'd like to add much greater stamina to the list. |

Commando is perfection as it is.
Now, I realize a lot of people are going "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY?!" when reading that, but I realized something about the Commando quite some time ago.
It doesn't need slots. It's a suit able to carry two light weapons and an equipment. Think about it. This suit can't have damage modifiers, so what's to take its place? PROFICIENCY! For ****'s sake, people. This suit is able to be more devastating than people will ever acknowledge. With an AR at prof. 4, I ******* drop people. Hard. With just a standard. With a LR working up to prof. 4, I pity the one that is in my sight.
This suit is perfection in the proper hands. Salute anyone who uses it, for they are using a suit that requires much more than complex damage modifiers to do well.
P.S. Melee killing is also absolutely hilarious. |

We're actually saying "make the commando a light frame." Yes a scout's purpose is to get behind enemy lines, but that is not necessarily the purpose for every light frame role.
