I hope we can all agree the commando needs a buff
The changes I would make:
Increase base shield and armor to 300 each
Give the basic commando a low slot
Decrease the price to match the sentinal
Make the proto commando 1 high and 2 low instead of the current 2 high and 1 low since its amarr? |

My level of rage towards CCP liking to give Amarr lots of high slots instead of low slots i growing rapidly... Amarr is suppose to f*cking armor tank and that's all...

So yesterday my corp mate and I got bored and decided to use up our Black Eagle Scout suits. Does anyone else agree that this is how the Commando should of been done? Two light weapons on a light frame with limited modules, no equipment, and a grenade? Makes a lot more sense.

Put it this way, people have been saying AR's are broken for a long time now, the AV vs vehicle war has waged for almost as long too...And recently we have been told that these issues are being addressed...in the future but we stil lnot been given an actual date for it, do don't hold your breathe for other issues that need fixing  |

I love the commandos but yeah they could use a bit of love to help them survive a bit better.
raising the shields and armor would go a long way.
i'd like to see
basic 1 low
advance 1hi 1 low
proto 1hi 2 low
or if keep same slot layout but adding an extra equipment slot would make it truly great. hp does need a small buff though

At the very least buff the appearance to make them look badass (new model/textures) instead of being a subtle reskin of the heavy.....

having to skill to level 3 in commando just to take advantage of the bonus is silly, even then you have to use the adv suit.

THe pilot suit made them make it a heavy suit, because otherwise, they would ***** about not having 2 suits lol

Ok I posted this idea before and it didn't get much attention, but what if each role was not frame specific.
For instance, if you wanted to be an Assault then you could be a light Assault, medium Assault, or heavy Assault.
If you wanted to be a logi, you could be a light logi, a medium logi, or a heavy logi.
If you wanted to be a commando, then you could be a light commando, medium commando, or heavy commando.
And so on. Each individual role will be treated slightly differently among the different frames for balance, but will still follow the general trends.

I've already suggested this to ccp under a Tecj 1 Tech II mode of game play where instead of empire drop suits we have corporate drop suits.

Have you tried the Black Eagle suit? Shotgun and AR on a light frame is very fun and interesting.
