Aero Yassavi wrote:Ok I posted this idea before and it didn't get much attention, but what if each role was not frame specific. For instance, if you wanted to be an Assault then you could be a light Assault, medium Assault, or heavy Assault. If you wanted to be a logi, you could be a light logi, a medium logi, or a heavy logi. If you wanted to be a commando, then you could be a light commando, medium commando, or heavy commando. And so on. Each individual role will be treated slightly differently among the different frames for balance, but will still follow the general trends. I've already suggested this to ccp under a Tecj 1 Tech II mode of game play where instead of empire drop suits we have corporate drop suits.

You are preaching to the choir, Aero and I run dual Scrambler Pistols, our point is that the Commando implies it fulfil the role of a commando which tends to be special operations behind enemy lines etc.
I mean I would be afraid to see a waddling gimped Commando Heavy run behind my lines struggling to breath. but if a light frame with two light weapons ran back there I would **** myself. So did half the guys I killed while running black eagles after watching me run 60 AR rounds then charge them with a shot gun.

The commando is supposed to be versitile in terms of weapons but lacking in module fiting. The scout is supposed to be the "behind enemy lines" class, not the commando. Scout could do the Commando's job far better than it could and achieve the stealthy behinds the lines archetype.
