Lol at 'set up'. The only thing I see them do on the forums is push forward various aspects of their agenda that has a lot to do with how this game is developed. How stupid do you have to be to buy into 'set up to help new players' thing.

I personally hate their behavior towards non-D-uni people, their hypocritical attitude, their so called "teaching", which is really BS (seriously, even new players squad up nowadays .. d-uni prefers to lock their 3man squad .. gg, best teaching), I hate that they call themself dust UNIVERSITY, while their leaders just want to run a mass-people corp, their playstyle, their writings, I hate their names, their dishonesty, I hate that they can't deal with criticism, I hate their tag, I hate Jack McReady, who opens BS threads in this forum all day long (as if there aren't enough) ... and so on, to name a few

Sorry to say this... but Meta Gaming is a disease in Dust 514, not something that people should be encourage to do.

You giving CCP the perfect excuse to sell you an Empty Book, and then make you write it yourself....

Leave the Meta Gaming in EvE, where it bellows... I want a complete game, thank you very much.

Allow me to point out a few things:

-If there was no DUST University all those unskilled and inexperienced players would still be in DUST, they would simply be in a different Corp.

-Since DUST University has such a large membership, it does 99% of its training in-house and talks about what they are doing on their own Corp forum, so people not in DUST University donGÇÖt really see 99% of what DUST University does.

-This is, as far as I know, the first time DUST University has opened one of their lectures to the Public. I am not sure that this thread will encourage them to do so again.

-I donGÇÖt personally know anyone in either DUST or EVE who is more qualified to speak about the Meta Game than TrueXer0z. Of course there are probably others who are more qualified, but I would not know them enough to vouch for them.

The time has come for people to know what other aspects of the game can be utilized to further the ambitions of your rise to power. Within Dust 514 we have already seen empires rise and fall and the game is so young and in many cases, still building its foundation. Meta Gaming is a very large part of the New Eden universe. It brings us together, tears us apart. It is what starts and ends the most epic of conflicts. Those who embrace some of the more devious aspects of this art form lurk in shadow waiting to strike when the time is right. Others use this form of game play to build relationships within our community and strengthen the bond between the different corporations.

That all being said, meta gaming is what makes the New Eden universe stand out above the majority of MMOs. There are so many aspects that have yet to be explored within our humble game of Dust514. Join Dust University in our Lecture channel and maybe gain some insight, ideas, or just enjoy the rants of a crazy man that has way too much time on his hands. There will be a Lecture portion that last 45+ minutes and a open forum Q&A after words.

Wow, the bloated egos consistently yell "Get good scrub!" at everyone they don't consider at their level, then in the same breath pour hate on a group dedicated to help beginners do just that.

Then they decry the loss of players and make post N+1 about how the declining player count means the end of DUST.

I think some folks need to realize this is a game we play for fun. It's not meant to validate your existance and performing well in the game doesn't make you a better or more worthy person.

Posturing and spewing hate simply degrades the experience for everyone. This game is going to need a large player base to survive. Kicking everyone out who isn't at the top teir is a sure way to kill it.

Props to the folks who put in time to help new players and thankyou to the folks who help vets learn something new by posting guides in the Training Grounds.
