Any one who cries about high damage or dying quick needs to stop playing this game and go play a disney game or something. The award for skilling solely into one weapon is absolute power! I am a md user and i have to say this. I believe the scr needs a little more power.

You miss like 5 or 6, and you might not be able to muscle it through the armor before you OH and are a sitting duck for even the lowly PLC. AR, you spew 60 shots, and reload, switch to an SMG and mow them down, or you melee the guy, or you sprint away. You can't do any of that with the ScR. That is why the ScR is finely balanced.

Either that, or players upset because it beat their AR at mid-range. And then there's the people who are all "Isn't armor supposed to resist this weapon?" It does, but it only resists 20% (80% of the damage still applies, i.e. most of it). That said, I have started to see a lot of Minmatar suits armor tanking and it's been giving me nightmares. Except Minmatar scouts, of course. Those guys are always going to be a 1 charge shot kill

The laser rifle isn't actually in the same class of weapons. Yes it has the word "rifle" in it's name, but so does the sniper rifle. The class of weapons in discussion include exclusively the assault rifle, scrambler rifle, combat rifle (coming 1.7), and rail rifle (coming 1.7).

AR idiots ONLY use AR and believe they should dominate because it is the classical weapon (I am not an AR idiot my MAIN is AR but I have plent of alts)..and scream nerf without ever trying the weapon..So they never know about shooting a MD UPwards...or the SCR over heating...guaranteed most AR only people didnt even know the SCR heated up..or that when it is cooling down you can't swtich weapons or throw a nade.....I must say SCR takes 5x the skills of an AR.. Those people who OWN with SCR...I salute you...cuz that **** is HARD

CCP already confirmed they will be adjusting both the assault rifle and scrambler rifle in 1.7 with the addition of the combat rifle and rail rifle, so you're probably right.

I get why it has to be done, and I'm happy actually. I'm just gonna need a good mid range replacement. Sadly there is no hybrid like that. I'm also kind of wondering if they will make the ScR worst at close range.

Honestly, the AR and Scrambler both need some incentive (besides damage) to getting to Proto level. I would no longer use the Scrambler if it got nerfed. But my bets are really on SMGs :D

I thought it was a little... then I used it. Turns out it IS OP AS F*CK! Its OP because I use it! I got at least one letter in game per day hating me because of the gun. Typically, an AR user, and someone who finished below me. Some facts about FPS: 1. You'll never get called a tryhard from someone who finished above you on the scoreboard. 2. The person at the top of the leaderboard will not give credit to anything more than themselves.

They do not one hit kill like the old flaylock or current mass driver. They are not super fast and indestructable like old lavs. They are just good weapons. i have a freedom mass driver and i put 3 damage mods on it...never once have i ohk'd anything except a scout suit thati hit direct. stop making things up. the scr is to shields as the md is to armor. you never hear gallente players crying about the scr or laser. ever. and vise versa
