1) if you use a secondary, what do you use?
2) Why?
3)what do you think is better on a Assault caldari?

Scrambler pistols, if you can get the headshots off. They're great if you can land those, but they're fairly lethal even without. |

SMG
Perfect coverage with a SCR and AR (both are strong to sheild), decent range with skills, very reliable (large clip allows some grace for missing a bit whereas with a SCP every shot counts more), great stopping power up close and verse armour (again making it a great pairing with the AR and SCR). |

scrambler pistol is like a magnum a skill shot weapon unlike the smg which is not necessarily a spray and pray, but can come off as one since all the new players spray the **** out of them but the thing is the smgs are like AR which makes it more reliable |

Not to mention there is nothing more fun than tearing apart an enemy with a breach SMG. |

With skills the smg makes a good fallback weapon for AR users. Especially if you're resorting to it in a close quarters dance-off.
The scrambler pistol makes a good opening weapon to take down shields quickly, or to finish unsuspecting enemies quickly. |

I use SMG as primary. But if you are good enough to get consistent head shots go with the Scrambler Pistol. Very simple.

Pistol if you can aim smg if your not as good at aiming Flaylock if your tight on PG <-- only reason to use flaylock imo, otherwise the other two are better.
I'm not hatting on flaylocks i have proto skilled into both scram pistol and flaylock. But I would pick a adv scram over proto flaylock. |

I use the breach pistol as my primary and assault SMG as secondary, however probably go 50/50 these days. The pistol is great if you have time to line up your shots but in frantic situations the SMG gives you much better hit rate whilst allowing you to strafe and jump to evade and run away if it gets too hot for you.
However, I'm really looking forward to trying out the caldari bolt pistol when it arrives because it should have the high damage of the breach pistol but actually decent range too. |

Depends.
For my AV fit I prefer a Scrambler Pistol, as it has more range and kills faster.
On my Assault fit, I prefer the SMG as it is easier to use in CQC and against multiple tangos.
I love both of them. |

I think it depends on what your primary weapon is. If you're using a weapon that does bonus damage to armor (mass driver) then I would use a scrambler pistol to weaken an enemy's shields before hitting them with the mass driver. If you're using a weapon that does bonus damage to shields (AR, scrambler rifle) then I would use the SMG.
Personally I prefer the SMG. I use a Tac AR, so I like to have a full auto sidearm (Though recently I have taken a liking to flaylocks). I like the scrambler pistol, but I run out of ammo way too fast to justify my using it. I prefer the breach SMG for its sustainable ammo. |

I use a SCR so i usually equip the Sub as my side arm... i love melting a heavies shields down and then finishing em off with pea shooter. Then of course they all get the "fu%k you heavy" teabagging. |

SMG is like a little weed whacker against grassy Proto suits.
Scrambler Pistols are pure Respect Mode. Nobody ever died to a ScrP and said, "Aw, that was cheap, OP, spam, BS!!!" If you get killed by one in 1v1 situations, usually you have to just accept that they beat you more than fair and square. They had the drop, better skills, and just outclassed your ***. |

SMG if u are likely to get into a CQC situation while ur primary is a mid to long range weapon (excluding the AR)
Scrambler if ur primary is a sort of CQC weapon and you'll be using the scrambler to finish off the red.....or i the red is a bit out of range of ur primary (like shotgun for example) |

SMG is the AR of secondaries ScP is the ScR of secondaries
Me personally, anything that involves semi-automatic weapons are broken thanks to bad hitreg. SMG is far safer and hitreg friendly while ScP does have those "wow" moments for taking down a heavy or other protos in record time with a few shots to the head. |

SMG.
It's pretty much a baby AR.
Just having shorter range.
I'm contemplating putting 2 comp sidearm mods on an ADV Gallente frame for AV or just running primary SMG.
I'm think primarying SMG for the lulz. |

Help me please, thanks
1.) I go with the scrambler pistol at the moment. I just switched from the SMG as my secondary.
2.) To improve my aim and train my ability to remain cool under fire, primarily. Secondarily, because it has lower fitting requirements and running a scout suit means that if I can free up a few extra CPU and PG, it makes a noticable difference. It also sounds and looks cooler, TBH. Blam, blam, blam!!!
3.) You probably have plenty of CPU/PG, so either is fine. I'd probably go with SMG, just to get people to back the **** off while my shields regen. The ScP doesn't make people step off unless you shots actually HIT them..... whereas the SMG is a great tool for finishing, or buying time due to it's higher damage against armor which is typically what folks are down to to at the end or when you need to retreat. It's also got bonus for high ROF and tons of bullets in the clip.
I love 'em both. They are like beautiful sisters, man.... hard to choose one over the other! You like hyperactive and dirty, or elegant and precise?

Scrambler pistol becomes amazing at higher levels, the SMG gets better too but is very user friendly right out of the box. |
