AND ANOTHER THING
Im sure no one else notice this but ccp have there money making scams , And i notice one of them ill tell you .
Now this is to the poeple that dont buy there skill , This is for real gamers . Ever notice when you upgrade some **** how right after that you get placed with a team of complete fukcing losers ? Hmm i wonder why is that its so you feel like your not really making any progress but you will notice you made little when you shoot them or use your new skill but i guarantee you will lose the battle ( faction public, not talking about the corp and squad babys cause you should win if you go into a pub with ur team everytime ) .
I'll say that again when you upgrade your skills even if you have been winning the last 50+ matchs the next match after you upgrade will ******* be like playing with ******* babys i notice this some time ago. That right there is a money ploy , to make a person buy there **** but i wont what i do is ******* sit back and watch the team lose and do nothing or i leave in most case's .

Though there was a time once, in Line Drive, I was scampering up a hill. Got stuck and turned around to watch my back as I regenerated stamina. Proto spotted me and started shooting. BLAP! headshot. His proto buddy came by to needle him, BLAP, HEADSHOT.
Did all this with just a C27 Sniper Rifle (Adv level 3 sniper)
I wonder what'll happen if I get proto gear.. 50-0 Match KDR? Since Proto gear is -so- godlike.. /sarcasm |

Now look at it now girls are playing they are using SEX TO SELL **** TO US and its crap because most of the people that buy into there crap isnt even gamers i bet you get this comment more then anything " Its just a game " its never just a game i put my life time into playing this **** i could be making money ******* your sister or many other things then playing a **** game that the developers dont have any intention on fixing .
If you frame those words then you need to add your words to what I said because IT IS TRUE !!!!! I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ADMITTING IT EITHER. I feel the same way because I could be doing something else ... if it was , " just a game" ... I mean I could do something that I can MAKE money from not another thing that's helping me to spend it. Women have always looked for a , " place at the table " but they don't understand that REAL MEN have always had that place set for them. The first thing they would say is , " what are you intimidated by a woman ??? " and I would say , " no I just know what I want and you would just screw it up if I listen TOTALLY to you." I value their opinion but not in EVERYTHING and ALL WALKS OF MY LIFE. I love my mother , wife , women , and my daughters , but I'm a man and men know what to do and what they are doing. I could go on but it would sound like I'm bashing them , but I LOVE THEM , but also everyone has a role to play and a place for themselves and people need to know their role.

Well your thinking worng , because me alone have won alot of matchs. Answer this smart guy HOW does one force dumb as.s no0bs 4life to join a squad i started ??? It cant be done and the reason i made this post is because its a fact and it shouldnt be allowed for a normal player like that to have so much fukingg armor and there not a heavy .
If i wasnt playing as a heavy it wouldnt be so bad but i was playing as a heavy and as a heavy you are slowed down alot and you cant run to all the areas and do all the work for the team . And people wonder the **** why there's so many rage'ers and complaints about this game its because no one listens and really care to win or even play or work as a team .
I remember being in faction public and i was hacking my second letter A,B at the start of the match and then these guys came down right behind me from a drop ship like 5 mutherfuck.ers and one was a heavy and of course the rest had overpowered assalt rifles and they killed me cause i was alone, I fuc.king left immediatly cause i knew they where a corp i checked to make sure and i was right So i left battle and thats whati do now .
Im also about to start leaveing earlier then that if i dont see the team im going into battle with have atleast one sqaud with 5 members im ******* leaving at the start .
Dropsuits are to damn high for me to be wasitng like that and im not a selfish player who only goes out to make wip for himself and say "fuk the team dude oh yeah totally bro " |

I had this idea of generating a formula for determining maybe 3 levels of matchmaking criteria. You cant just base it on SP.
Set 3 defined levels and use a formula to have scotty match up games accordingly. Scotty is already a pain so more than 3 would clog things up even more.
SP * KDR
First tier game would be anyone with a number under 4 million. Second tier would be 4-10 million Third is everyone else.
There would be matchmaking issues with squads of mixed levels so just have scotty bump them if they have an inappropriate squad composition.
You could really even drop the mid tier probably.

why not just make a simple gear restriction.
in the form of search parameters.
such as mlt only. then all the way up to proto. lower tiers being accepted into the higher tiers.
and then there can be a mode where its adv only std only or proto only.
all of these possible to be configured by the players.
if search times are taking to long u widen the search parameters.
i think this could just be for pub matches though.
so in short every1 can be happy.
pub stompers who love stomping could get to stomp mlt newberries who want to try and feel brave by going into the mlt- proto match.
players who want a "challenge" could select a proto only mode.
and while this goes down majority of the (insert word of choice here) can still complain about something that would no longer be a massive problematic issue.
as this would give those mlt newberries a chance to do something other than get slaughtered in our common matches.
so in a way every1 would win.
but seeing this great perfect idea gets shotdown by biased ppl so many times.
i can expect a 100% chance of trolls below this post.. |

Personally, I fail to see any down side to this, but what do you think? Proto Gear alone isn't what causes Pubstomping When a full of squad of good, experienced players enters a game with blueberries, they will murder them every time regardless of gear. And it's intended in Dust that two evenly matched teams can risk as much or as little ISK on the battlefield as they want, depending on how badly they want to win. Better solutions for pubstomping would be: - Sort games by level of SP - Restrict squad size in public matches Or a combination of those 2
Also try to balance squad on one side with squad on another. Having two full squads on one team "matched" against almost total blueberries on the other is not going to end well. When I can look at the roster before the match starts and call it without knowing anything at all about any of the players it seems like we missed something somewhere. |

Everyone can agree that proto gear is not "THE" problem, but running into a skilled player that is also sporting equipment that is far superior to what the new player has access too is way over the top. This is a multi-cause problem, but why is there so much proto usage in pub anyway?
Using proto gear in pub matches is ridiculous. I have over 14 mil sp and haven't skilled much of anything to the proto level. I have on a few weapon classes for the skill perks which gives an advantage all its own as has already been stated. Because of that I mostly run STD level gear. I jump up to ADV when I come across try hard squads that are all decked out in proto swag in pub matches. For a long time I enjoyed killing them to cost them ISK, but it has just gotten old. There are too many PUB matches where that tactic is used and is effective at crushing newbs.
The academy is a good example. I have created several new characters and gone into the academy to see what is there and help new players. There are other skilled players in there, but it is actually MORE FUN for new players because the equipment superiority is removed and players are on a more even playing field. Most of them quit shortly after getting out of the academy.
Beyond the equipment there is still the team matching problems. Queue synching seems to be a big deal and in my opinion is even worse than proto stomping. It takes a lot of effort to try to stack a team like that. Are the newbs really that intimidating? Maybe it's just me, but I have been unimpressed and disappointed by the lack of class of most EVE/Dust veterans. Not all, but an unfortunately large amount. |

That could also give more relevance to FW and create more of a distinction from pub matches. I don't think most players in there understand what the difference is at all. By this suggestion you would have pub matches as the more entry level, FW as the mid range more advanced fighters and squads, and PC for the serious teams and corps. |

It's not the gear that is the problem it is the teamwork. You can take down a proto player 1vs1, but they always have a good team to protect each other. If you have a good team who works well together, you don't have to worry about protostomping.
If you ever played against an organized team they will run in 3's or 4's. This isn't call of duty where a single person can take down an entire squad by himself. |

Proto Gear can even represent the only chance for an average player with 5-10 millions SP to have a decent counter against full squads of maxed-out characters that don't even need Proto Gear because of the full Skill Bonuses they receive.
Pulling out a "naked" Duvolle can barely help against a GEK with Level 5 Proficiency... same goes for suits and all the rest.
Some of the best players I know and I play with don't use Proto Gear in pub matches. They redline the enemy team in 1 minute because of their amazing skills and organization. Also, their ADV suits are better than my PRO suit, because they have 20-30 millions SP and I'm not even close to those numbers...
Then what would be the problem with removing it from pub matches? |

I definitely support the notion of restricting suits based on contract type. We have it in Eve and we can have it in Dust.
In Eve too the character's and the player's skills both add to the advantage that Vets have over new players, that doesn't mean ship restrictions in Eve are bad and it doesn't mean suit restrictions are bad for Dust. |

The actual counterpart to Prototype would be Tech II, which is definitely NOT prohibited from high-sec.

currently dust is somewhat like a lobby shooter.
a gear restriction in the form of search parameters will work fine.
it will not limit the players freedom it will give them a choice between.
join this battle to get stomped into the ground over and over again.
or join this battle thats more evenly matched as every1 is using the same class of gear.
it will remove the perception of the god fits and everything and hopefully balance alot of gameplay perspective out.
i dont see it as "limiting freedom."
it would be like customizing your own battles.
lower tiers would be allowed to join higher tiers on the search parameters as well.
it really just helps the newberries out more.
and so why shouldnt this be allowed?

This thread is funny because there's event based on protostomping coming up. I usually run adv but during that time I'l earn me some black eagle scouts.
The thing that makes proto suits op is the fact that people are afraid of them. The losing team will hide from the fight never returning fire when they come face to face with one, or "troll" fight them in their cheapest fits. "huck huck huck I got that protosuit with my militia grenade huck huck". How to play the game is up to you, but don't complain about gear if the fight gets too tough.
