At what point do you stop hating on snipers?

So that begs the question.... at what point do people stop hating on snipers? 10 kills? 15 kills? Good intel and area-denial, plus "x" kills? Snipers, particularly good snipers, have a role on the battlefield. So is the hate being generated directed towards all snipers, or just the bad ones? Thoughts?

Simple. KD doesn't mean much when you're sniping. What matters is how much you help.

I have a couple of proto-sniper loadouts... but I generally only pull them out when counter-sniping is required. Other than that... I WP ***** with uplinks, nanohives and needles. Oh yeah.... and killing redberries.

Much easier for your team to fight enemies who only have half armor left

First point: a good sniper finds one spot where he can see the whole map and still not die Second point: I agree and practice this regularly......or I just use a commando suit and do both at the same time

Not rocket science, yet even that some can be useless at because of the spots they're trying to "thin out".

Reduce all damage from shots fired in the red line by 90% I used my Thales on my Sniper ALT and was going 10-0 + every game with no effort at all by red line sniping Snipers get hate because of the red line problem .. it's basically a safe zone

Watch the forums for Logibro hating, AV hating, tanker hating, sniper hating...the list goes on. I love my slayer brothers, but I also love all the other roles in this game (can't get enough of the proto scout ninja nova knives master who chases my heavy down and knifes me right in the face).

It means they really have no clue what you are doing and where you are, thus you are doing your job properly. And if you only have a handful of kills and didn't call out any info, but that red sniper was never able to harass your team, then you were counter sniping properly.

When they get to be useful: GÖª Calling enemy movements to the whole team GÖª Protecting a certain choke point and/or Objective (like ''A'' in the 3 obj map) GÖª When they COVER their team instead of stealing kills from them GÖª After 10 kills This is, in my case...

And, unless you're consistently putting down 30+ Kills then you're not really significantly helping with the clone-ácount either. Sniping from an area that allows you to be able to rehack an objective is the most helpful a sniper can be without calling in hostile positions to the team.

You hava a team of good assaults or bad assaults. Usually, it's a team with a leet proto stomp squad in it. They will win despite what anybody else does. The bad team will lose despite anything you can do to help. Proofs in the pudding. Until matchmaking is fixed I'll lolplay this travesty of a game.

Thoughts? any sniper that spends the entire match behind the redline is a waste of biomass regardless of kills. They are taking advantage of a situation that was implemented to stop people from farming kills from people dropping from the mcc.

On the new maps this means they need to move rather often to get the best positions! There should never be a spot that gives control of more than 15% of the battlefield at a time! Also is worth noting snipers who are hooked upto the comms are idenifinetly more useful than those who are silent! People like a guardian angel, they like them more when they are proficient with Sniper Rifles!
