Almost every weapon needs a range buff and I'm okay with the SCR getting a larger buff than the AR because I'm not saying the Gallente AR should have a longer range than the other race's versions. I don't need to play EVE to say a rifle being ineffective at anything greater than 100 meters is wrong. |

Gallente Assault Rifle: Best close range
Amarr Scrambler Rifle: Best mid range
Caldari Rail Rifle: Best long range
Minmatar Combat Rifle: Average at all
From eve I remember that;
Short Range
Blaster had the worst and outstanding damage.
Pulse Lasers good damage and great optimals
autocannons (minmatar weapon) had crap range but great falloff and were middle of the pack
rockets/HAMs/Torpedos were caldari but not applicable here
Long range;
Rails had best range/worst alpha/mid DPS (gallente/caldari)
Beams mid range/mid alpha/mid DPS (amarr)
Artillery had worst range/high alpha/worst DPS (minmatar)
But this apparently doesn't mean much. I mean if you look at eve-side ships amarr ALWAYS have the most amount of lows and gallente had the most eHP (due to large hull HP). |

I'll never get the argument for assault rifle/ Scrambler rifle... There is two variant's for assault weapons essentially, that's nice?
They should be the base middle of the road weapon that you build balance around for the rest of the gun's... Keep the base gun's static and then build balance around them... the more you change the base line the more we have to start all over again.
Ranges currently are a joke... a 13 year old with a pistol TODAY can fire more accurately and further then a duvolle assault rifle can.. More effective damage ranges, and hitboxes that register a shot in the foot differently from a shot in the heart would add much more balance...
this is even representative in the Flaylock's where direct impact shot's to their head, deal less damage then shooting the ground under their feet.

We also worry to much about making the next best killing bomb instead of trying to find a cure for cancer or something actually important |

Have you even tried the Assault SCR ? or even the AR ?
The Assault SCR is a GEK-38 with a Scope, better DPS and Range. |
