In the event the Caldari get a legitimate Cargo Hub outpost, will the Orbital Artillery outpost still be in effect or will it be removed from PC? |

It would seem wasteful. Though it can use a re-visit its self in terms of technical aspects and art style. The game play in it is fairly solid. |

Yeah, albeit it gets -really- difficult fighting over Alpha sometimes. Pretty much comes down to whoever gets the roof at the start of the match. |

wait.... so... what is the skyfire battery building for then? When it was made where did it fit into the design for Planetary conquest? Or was it just made with no plans or intended goal down the line other than to be removed?

I don't have any specific details on that. It's original design and intent are from before my time starting here. I did arrive during its early development stage, but I never saw what documentation there may be about its full intent. |

It's being used as a placeholder for the Caldari Cargo Hub, it was made before the infrastructure for Planetary conquest was released. |

That in particular is correct and of course eventually it will be replaced with a proper Caldari Cargo Hub SI set. Though when that time comes the same question exists. I know that we prefer not to just "throw away" work, but it is unclear of the original OA's future at this very moment until we get closer to its replacement arriving. |

you could always remove the cannon part and turn it into a cargo hub. So you don't have to throw away the map, plus you could take some time to make it better. Just seems like a waste to build that map in the 1st place. Plus you featured it in every trailer shooting eve ships out of the sky, what does it mean if you remove it?

By the way... Dust 514 features the OA map in every trailer shooting eve ships out of the sky, what does it mean for the game if you remove it from the map pool?
I believe they are talking about it only in terms of removing it from PC, not pub matches.
On a side note, would it be possible to give the PC owners a "choice" of what Structure is used for a certain infrastructure?
For example have the Cargo hub infrastructure be able to be based on Map A or Map B?
(perhaps via a submenu, or perhaps more easily just have main options be Cargo Hub A, and Cargo Hub B)?

I love that map, please dont thorw it away, it adds much more diversity into map gameplay in the end. I ve had the best experiences right in this particular outpost. And I ll be honest it looks pretty awesome. |

Typically we will keep whats functional and use it. It would most likely go to public matches. What you have to realize is that we are using existing assets as placeholders for many of the SI Sets until the actual SI Sets are complete.
We really prefer not to just throw functional and working things away. So it always has a better chance of sticking around in some fashion unless it has problems (such as going over technical budget limits).

Honestly, it makes sense though because they have re-usable assets that they can use to speed up level design. Less unique structures means less waiting time for them to be rendered, textured, etc. So, we can wait a few months for a single Amarr SI set or we can wait a month or so for a new Gallente/Caldari one =D
But I agree, the faster they roll out the first Minmatar/Amarr SI sets the faster it will be for later on ^_^
