ID may have invented the genre, but for my money, the Rare people (GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, AND TimeSplitters!) are the ones who perfected it and made the multiplayer FPS what it is today. Nothing we play now would be possible without GoldenEye. |

Borderlands 2 Multiplayer was strangely addictive. Like crack. I have no idea why, but I literally couldn't stop. A few buddies and I took off work and went at it for something like 30 straight hours.
Standing in line with little kids and their moms at midnight? That was me. But it was well worth the shame.
Thank a deity the GF was out-of-town :-)

SOCOM was great any BF is good DUST hasn't reached it's full potential/died so It has no place on this list (depending on your side of the argument) ARMA is good but I wouldn't call it as much of a FPS as a Military Simulator |

Quake and GoldenEye 007 for N64....good old times. Online gaming is awesome, but nothing better than place a bomb *on* a corridor to blow up your friend, and he is playing in your side looking what you are doing. Priceless |

Never played it, but really wished I do.
Maybe my comp can handle it. I'll try the free version. It is completely worth it to try it. If you're into strategy. Or Mil Sims?

But borderlands 2 was amazing. They need a better pvp than duels but the graphics, artistic design and story puts it so far out in front. All the weapons, classes and customization are unbeleivably satisfying and emersive. Give this man a cookie. |
