I prefer solo play.

99.9999% solo play on my side here, getting put against whole teams is the best way to progress your skill.

I solo a lot because most of the time I can never find a squad, or the only squads available are very inexperienced players that have no idea what they're doing, and I'm just helping them get OBs. Though when I do rarely run with a good squad we're unbeatable (not only that but I get much higher averages of wp, around 3500 per match).

When the squad finder comes out I doubt I will be running solo as much anymore.

Being able to name a squad "20mil+ mics only" and have a full squad of 6 players join who all know what they're doing will be nice.

or naming a squad "heavies only" and then grouping up a squad of 5 heavies and me (the dedicated logi) to wreak havok on the opponents...

etc.

I have only been in, maybe, 3 squads since open beta.

I solo about half the time. If done right solo play can translate into improved tactics for you and your squad.

I like squad but only if it's being fun and casual. I've been in a couple where it's always been "What! How the F- did you lose D?"
or "GD! Our team sucks. It suuuuuuucks!!"

I would rather have mouth breathers than pissy sore-losers.

I run with my corp mates. If I can't do that I go solo. I'm not a great fan of squadding with randoms.

Maybe the squad finder in 1.5 will allow me to find better squads.

Once you are familiar with the different roles it helps you to predict enemy movements and patterns as well.

I've been playing since beta, and no matter how hard I try, I can't figure out how to survive in a squad. I keep trying over and over again. But when I am solo, I can acquire 3000 points and die 0-3 times. When I squad, I die like 11 times and get like 250 points. I don't understand the developers need to put pressure on people to squad.

I know there are people who squad who do fine for themselves. I don't know how they do it, unless they stay behind the squad and let them take the brunt of the enemy
For me, it won't matter what changes they make that push squadding on us, I'll just be forced into making less points, but I can't survive (isk wise), if I try to squad regularly.

Sometimes the only reason you lose a match is because your squad is the only ones doing anything. You check the board afterwards and sure enough, 7th place only got 500 wp, while almost every member in your squad got over 1200.

It's like going into a match of 6 v 16 and telling yourself that you were evenly matched.

You should all get into Greedy Bastards; we could play solo in Squads!

As a Support Logi, my type of gameplay is somewhat solo, but to the benefit of the whole team.
