Just ran 4 pc in a row with nothing but MD. Profieciency 4. Been using MD since early chromo. Lets say I've got some experience with it and rarely go negative. Just played my first few pc matches since 1.4. Never broke a .5 kd. Scouts were beating me 1v1 in optimal range... in my 1k ehp logi. Wtf ccp, get your act together..

First couple matches I had it fitted with double complex, one enhanced, switched it out for omni-tank cus I was getting gunned down by duvolle and krin in .3 seconds, and did worse. |

i'm still doing good with it, i win most of my 1v1 against any suit, altough heavy are tuff nut to crack, it's just that fully auto weapon pack a lot of dps in a short time now, you need to use cover to your advantage , direct hit the first shot, take cover and finish them with the splash, open ground you got no chance against AR wich is logic imho |

Play as a medic Logi and use the EC-3 or Boundless variants for optimal area denial. You'll seldom die if you can stay behind your squad and support them with reps and needles, and the kills and assists will just roll in over time. |

I think there lies the problem, if you got a 1K HP suit you stand no chance against a clever scout because of how slow you move. But more seriously though I agree with you, the MD isn't really the best of weapons to acquire kills in PC because of all the lag. However I do not agree with you the mass driver is useless, it's a pretty beast weapon for the right circumstances. |

I'm not a great player but MD has definately taken a serious hit
well i've only PC about 10 time and went negative once (against Synertgy) with my MD, i'v adapt my style of play in PC by being less agressive and peppering them from behind the lines, lag is horrible and the explosion are better watched from a good distance, but you're right saying 1,5 has made it a lot tuffer for us |

Double edge sword, the more damage mods you put on it, the more useless it becomes in CQC. I've had Assaults jump in my face that my active scan didn't pick up fast enough, and there is nothing you can do as a Logi with an Assault MD. |

How were you using it?
I generally run point defense from a safe elevated area at least 50-100m away depending on the map layout. You can't run and gun with the thing anymore since people can actually aim at you and TTK is a complete joke thanks to the "adjustments" from 1.0-1.3 they forgot to roll back when aiming sucked.
Just be glad they ignored the QQers and didn't nerf the MD. We'd be back to 1.0 Uprising all over again... |

Mass drivers had their ability to shake the aiming reticle of anyone it hits removed. This was a pretty big change for mass drives because targets can actually aim and fire back at the mass driver user. |

It's alot harder now. With the boundless/ assualt I usually get the high ground or behind my squad . Good for area denial and lon gharrassment. Freedom is great with repair hives backing you. Funny how the noob tube takes the most skill to use these days |

AR can kill you in 2 seconds, MD can fire 2 projectiles in that time, even a fitted scout survives that. |

MD is fine. I believe the main purpose of the MD was to be a area denial weapon. If you want to kill, use a AR or SR. Or just "adapt or die". You know; use flux, use high ground and cover to your advantage. |

then you are doing something wrong..my last md match wasa exo5 on a stnd amarian logi witha smg and flux nades..1 nano 1 injector ..ran 28/5 2300 wp..md is as it should be a situational weapon..it isnt something that is supposed to be useable on every situation..its only really supreme on certain maps. as is the laser rifle ..you should specc up another situational weapon thats optimum situation is the opposite of the md to run on less md friendly maps |

I call bullshit on that claim. Plague is one of the best MD users I have seen, even when is sucked balls he was rocking it like a champ. I did notice a change with the mass driver last time I used it (EXO-5 w/ 2 complex dmg mods) and it seemed like I couldn't kill anyone with it, I know damn well it's not my fault. |

It's fine.
I used it some time in my secondary character and it was great, but you have to be supportive with it. Stay behind your team, you need them. And using it as a secondary weapon could be very useful. Everyone shoots at the MD guy when they spot him, so keep low profile.
If you went 1vs1 you were doing it wrong, so it's normal getting killed by a scout or by anyone.
It's fine this way, it's not supposed to be the absolute weapon and people were abusing it a lot. We need to learn how to use guns properly, they're all for different circumstances and roles. |
