This is for those people with an odd name, surname or both where people just can't seem to get it right whether by accident or on purpose. I'd like to know how you guys say your name should be said as.
(Note: I usually just let it slide when people state it incorrectly seeing as how I don't expect people to understand Japanese sounds or that this name itself is nippon.)
And with that:
Kaminoikari (Kah-me-no-e-car-i). In this instance, the car-i sounds like ka-dee, so (kah-me-no-e-ka-de.) To break it down even more, here is the original romanji; "Kami no ikari" or in the original language: pÇîtÑPpü«µÇÆpéèpÇì. This translated directly means "Wrath of God" or "the wrath of God". I'll break it down a bit further if you've read this far, lel.
tÑP - Kami (God, Gods, deity, omniscient being) pü« - no (a particle, or in this case "of") µÇÆpéè - ikari (anger, hatred; wrath)
Due to the way Japanese grammar goes, it would sound more like God of wrath, but that is not the case. I digress. The majority of people read my name as:
Kaminoikari (kamino-e-car-e), Kamino (kah-me-no) or just plain Kami (cam-me). Hardly has anyone called me Kami (Kah-me), or even pronounced my entire name properly. Now, I'm not harping on anyone, I just find it interesting, which Is why I'd like to know how you, those with a weird portion of name, originally pronounced yourself. Hell, even if your name isn't odd, I'm sure some people have pronounced it differently so I'm curious as to how YOU, the creator intended youself to be called. |

Actually it's all finnish and literally translates to
Repe as in Looney Tunes Daffy (Duck) Susi as (Big Bad) Wolf

"The" hopefully needs little elaboration, but "Eristic" is accented on the second syllable, unlike the name of goddess from which it is ultimately derived, due to the structural-linguistic mandates required of the particular verb form (itself derived from the name of the goddess) from which the word hails more immediately. |

My name is pronounced Aero, as in a bow and arrow, Yas-sa-vI. Most common mispronunciation is Ya-sav-E, which is wrong. |

I figured that wasn't the intention, I just had to make the joke though, hah.

Well.. I mean, you could have just said "i-ron wolf say-burr", then again everyone should know Iron is a single syllable word.

Personally I would've said it as "Row-ga-shin" with how the English language is and all that nice grammatical stuff. |

"Merc" has been confusing and actually led to major asspain when i rang for RND one time because i didn't realize until halfway through the fight they were talking to somebody else with "Merc" in their name. |
