You're delusional. It's called individualism. You should read up on it. People are entitled to their opinions, but the quality of a game is objective, not subjective. Dust has horrible quality as a AAA game as it stands, in almost every direction. Yet I constantly see people implying that this game is somehow better (damage control, why else?) than its rival titles when, as it stands, it clearly isn't. Not saying Dust isn't fun every now and then, but it currently is an over-glorified lobby shooter with broken gameplay and customization mechanics. ever read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"? Ahh... Quality. i think my post was the closest to fanboyism in this thread, and I specifically mentioned that it isn't "there yet" and that the thing that is a draw for me to this game is the potential which I admit is a 'pipe dream'. that said, I think CCP is the only company ballsy / insane enough to keep trudging along and realize the pipe dream for such a niche game. this game will never rival CoD, BF, or WoW as far as player count, but I am ok with that. it'll never rival BF for realism or CoD for QA/QC budget. the draw is new eden. it is a niche. the hope is persistent sci fi shooter integrally connected to spaceships. we'll see if we get there: but it's still free to play so... w/e... we play because we enjoy it, because Pavlov made us, and because we are bored with other things. I for one stopped playing The Last of Us halfway through and MAYBE I'll finish it in the next year. Dust I'll log into every day. To each his own.
Honestly, if CCP were to keep this game in beta, I wouldn't be complaining at all. I'm just judging it as a released game, that's all. Simply, it just isn't finished.
I still enjoy it at times, despite it all. I hit my cap every week in hopes that this game will get on its feet, eventually. |

Over and over and over again. And the bad guys were so far away that you could barely see them.
If that's what an impressive, YouTube-worthy PS2 battle is, I want no part of that game. Hey now, it may not be everyone 's cup of tea but those distant (and more realistic) engagements are far from boring. Arma dudes. Remember ARMA. Those battles when you cleared the enemy out was worth every bit of a relief sigh at a pat to ones back. Oh hell yeah.
Love watch DDG kill folks in DayZ.
Saving up some money for a new Graphics Card, so I can run Arma 2/3.
Any suggestion on what card to get on a budget?
Just a random question.
Feeling like throwing DUST out of a window, so hoping my PC can be fun.
'Nother Random question, what are some quite good PC games besides Arma (In general), KSP, and EVE? |

PS2 is meh on PC but if its optomized for PS4 and runs smooth with minimal loading then it could be a good MAG replacement Why would putting the game on a less powerful system improve it? Not all pcs are powerful to run max settings for Planetside 2 thus not all pcs are more powerful then the ps4. The ones that are a over a grand. The ps4 will run Planetside 2 at max settings and not be well over a grand LOL.

My take on PS2 graphics is that nothing in PS2 looks like it belongs in that world but would probably be almost more at home on Monday Night Shootout or something.
Its that out of place.
Warframe does not suffer from this at all.
BTW next gen can't run watch dogs at 60 fps I highly doubt it can do PS2 at 30. |

You have to relies on first-party support. Dogs is made for all systems and there is no optimization. This said, let me tell you one rumor which was backed up by a Dev from EA in NeoGaf:
It seems that EA is keeping the PS4 games look bad on purpose. They seems to have a contract with Microsoft and are not allowed PS4 games to looks better then the xbones. That is why BF4 for example is not running on full HD on the PS4.

I have read the name here in the forums that a lot of people are comparing PS2 and Warframe to Dust 514 and I must say that both feels (for me) way to arcade. The PVP in PS2 ist horrible, I don't like it. The PVE in Warframe is way to arcade, jumping, sliding, sword action and run and gun. Nothing I will continue to play. PS2 is deinstalled and warframe will follow after this posting. Playing this two showed me how well Dust514 mechanic suits me and how well it is done. I hope CCP will throw some content soon on us. (and pve)
Speaking of PVE, I think CCP will find their own way for PVE and I hope that PVE will be there very soon, as I'm getting bored by farming SP and ISK the whole time. Because this is what dust feels like at the moment. Farming is nothing bad if it's done right tbh.
Dear CCP, this is not a chorus of praises, you still have to deliver! In November I'm getting my PS4 and Battlefield, do something surprisingly well, and I will come back, but don't forget, early 2014 will Destiny lunch the beta for people who have it in pre-order... Hurry the duck up!
TL;TR: Dust feels still better. LOL who ever said Warframe was AT ALL like dust? You must be mad! Warframe is a PVE game. Totally PVE (Almost) Nothing like Dust. And that's what I love about it! Its enjoyable, its very well polished. Ok a bit grindy at times but so is dust. The Warframe devs have regular video blogs where they all sit around discussing what they are doing, showing concept art, Question and Answer times etc... I can only wish the devs of this game did anything similar. i want to be master of the univers i cannot do tha in pussyvspussy |

Yea I'm going to go back to TLOU and beat it on that crazy hard setting they have. I played through it once and I was done. Never was interested in the MP. Did you try it out?
And honestly I think PS2 is the equivalent of a drunk man taking home a beast from the woods who he believes is actually Kate Upton. Once out of his drunken glory, he will see he was lying to himself all along...

Uch... don't get me started on the Multiplayer. There are two opinions, the one says its the worst of the worst they could have done, the other says its perfect. I'm on the worst of the worst side. Still I'm playing it, only one trophie left for platin. To be fair, in the multiplayer you have to stick together, a lonewulf is dead and will cost the team spawns (clones in Dust). So teamwork is everything, that is the good point. |

Nothing like cod.
Its more like old games from the 80`s n 90`s, Waves, crazy loot, bosses and bosses with multiple 'levels' to the boss fight. Add that to a compelling upgrade and mod system and its quite pretty and polished.
Give it a try, however it is nothing like Dust or CoD. It would be great however if we could get survival missions PVE style in dust similar to how it is in Warframe. |

Not that it matters too much. Everyone knows CCP is frantically planning for a ps4 release for Dust 514. *looks around nervously*
PS2 looks kind of like a cartoony version of Dust... Also are those next gen graphics? Hmmm... Kind of underwhelming. I remember when ps1 went to ps2. That was a huuuuge change. This seems more incremental. I'll definitely pass on PS2.
Warframe looks like goofy fun. I'll probably get tired of it soon though. I like slower paced games that require more thinking over twitchy trigger finger action.
But what do I know? I haven't played either of them. Guess I'll stick with Dust. |

starting to think a near term ps4 release would indeed be a waste of resources. market for ps4 games will be relatively small, and early adopters aren't necessarily your F2P mainstay... or they are already excited about the competition. i assume. |

well, I don't think they're going to be anywhere close to launching on the ps4 when the ps4 releases. But, you know, maybe three four years from now they'll retire the ps3 and bring the "massively-successful eve fps, Dust 514" to a ps4 console near you. |
