Seriously dude, fight the proto, I have 110 mil as of this morning and that was after losing 2 dropships, and 2 HAVs and couple dozen suits. Which means over the course of 6 fights I managed to get 2 million isk profit.

I have absolutely 0 prototype equipment, and only 1 advanced suit and no advanced equipment. Also my tank is about 450k, its not very good but it does not die instantly either most of the time (unless a grimlock shows up)

And a more friendly corp! How are they not helping you with funds Unless they think you're not not worth their time

Well, your refusal to pay for quality is what's setting you up for frustration. Tanks are an isk sink, plain and simple. 450k gets you what, 3,400 shields? weak explosive resistance? a stage 1 turret? It's nice of you to boost the self-esteem of AV players like that, but you should do something good for yourself once in a while, y'know?

i would say HAV'S pg CPU is to low. but he said he won't pay over 450k so that excuse is dead.
Madrugers without the moduels and equipment cost over 1m ISK.
my advice. suck it up. And like everyone else low on ISK, Run a few ambushes with nothing but starter suits. That should get you 1m ISK after 5 fights if you get over 200k ISK a fight.

Don't throw good after bad, and start really doing your absolute best to never "brute force" your way into a map. In order to make any money with an HAV (At least in Skirmish, the only mode I play) you have to consider which parts of a map you never, ever go in.

Running a blaster fit as Caldari is a very bad idea... Especially with low SP, I only do it if I'm in a weird mood and don't care about wasting ~$520K and preferably have a tanking buddy also running blaster.

Missiles are your friend, so are rails.

In order to make money with Caldari HAVs, you absolutely have to spend money into them, money should never be an issue with HAVs as if you bring one out you need every last edge, as yeah a chea

I also want to stress that any tank Caldari tank that won't die in an eyeblink will cost 500K+ minimum, anything cheaper then that will die at the drop of a hat unless you really just redline-snipe or play extremely conservative.

You can't play a cheap tanker, you just can't.

Cheap fits are garbage, period, if you don't pay for the good stuff then you're going to lose your fits more often then not and in the long run you will hemorrhage money.

HAVs require a drastically different mindset then infantrymen, don't cut corners when it comes to ISK.
A cheap Caldari fit is 500K+
A moderate one is 700K+
An expensive Caldari fit is 1 million+

Less then 500K fits are called target practice, and free points for anyone who notices, only good for casual joyrides with friends.

suck it up. if you can't afford good gear. run 6 ambushes with starter dropsuits. you will get over 1m isk. (if you get 200k a match)
i remember you saying your armor is better than your shields. if so then put some thick armor plates on your HAV. yes there will always be forge snipers and swarm launchers and AV grenades. a tough adversary can expect tough competition.

Tower forging you should either hang back and redline snipe him with cover to cool down, or recall, grab a sniper rifle (I have a few different proto sniper fits just for that purpose), unfortunately there is only so much you can do in this case, and honestly there is not much you can do. This is why shooting dropships is your number one priority to keep tower camping from happening, as it can ruin a game.

Swarms are really easy to snipe away, and if they are on ground, in the HAV you can usually out-pace them by keeping yourself mobile and fade to a different part of the battlefield if you see them, it can be pretty effective to keep doing this as you end up fighting mainly infantry and leaving t

Will do the next time I'm on, probably tomorrow night. I'd love to see you become a successful full-time tanker (Or at least half-time), admittedly not an easy goal, and tank squading helps survivability by 600% no joke. I have a corp-mate who also tanks full time, Phixate, and it would be pretty cool to run a three-man tank lance.

I can't help but chuckle to myself. It's not really the Proto that is doing the stomping. If they were wearing Adv gear, and working together, you get the same result.
