Make no mistake, the map design is phenomenal. But by far what's most impressive about Dust is the sound design. Everything is incredibly clear, the music isn't in the way. And most importantly, sounds don't clash and become white noise? The sound of a swarm launcher and an assault scrambler rifle going off at the same time? You can easily pick them both out. |

Kind of.
The sounds themselves I am a fan of, for the most part. I would change a few things to make it more consistent with EVE, but they are competent enough to stand on their own.
Now the sound engine itself I am having some massive issues with. If a grenade lands behind me, I would like to hear it. All too often however, certain sounds cut off when the memory on the PS3 decides it doesn't like you anymore. That leads to unfair losses, which in my line of work is unforgivable. |

They already stated that the above (safe from tanks) was a design directive. Apparently tanks are not good for NPE. |

Idk, I think they're in a decent to good spot right now. I mean there are fewer on the field, but the inverse if that is they're fielded by guys who have them fully skilled and damage modded.
Super fun locking down the research lab tunnels ti A in domination with it tho. |

The Negative: Reduce the ROF of all MD's by 15%, reduce the clip size to 4 for regular and 6 for assault, reduce the splash damage of all types except breach by 15%, reduce the blast radius of all types except the breach by 10%
Boom, you'd have an effective skill weapon that is only spammable when used in groups of MD players. It may not be perfect for dust, but it would at least be rebalanced rather than nerfed |

Im sorry but you don't need to down splash damage anymore!
You said that a MD Proto with a few damage mods kills most things, but you do that with an ar, lr, sr, pretty much anyweapon that isn't ridiculous alpha like the shotgun. (No the shotgun does not need nerfing, im just saying it hits for a lot of damage per shot)
Its unfair to balance the mass driver because people run damage mods with it! You are then penalising those that don't run a damage mod. Damage mods are a part of the game.
The onlymthing I would be happy with is changing the ROF from 1 every second, to 1 every 1.2)(1.3 seconds, nothing more is required! |

The sound dept. also did a great job. I still love the woooouummmpppp sound of the LAV`s to mention one. |

People were predicting MD spam over the Research Lab too and it turned out pretty well in that regard. In every regard really, those sockets are perfect. I wouldn't worry too much about explosives, this team has showed us that they know what they are doing.

Infantry should shut up more about tankers if they have a "safe zone" to play in, and tankers should complain less about infantry if the "outside" is mostly vehicles. |

Caldari are very militaristic then it's business. Hell each Corporation in Caldari State has their own private heavily armed navy just about. |

Yes I know of the Caldari's private militaries. A few have funded my contracts.
Regardless, that doesn't explain why the Gallente would design anything with military in mind, they do care so much about their fashion and style, that they'd never dare let military sensibilities interfere. |

Like, bridges set at mid range from each other crossing a big golden hall with the floor divided in levels, all perfect for mid range engagements. I want to see some concept art for amarr sockets so bad.
