The background video is Battlefield 4, but in this video, Luetin talks about players who play alone but still contribute to the team.
I'd like to think that I did this when I was able to regularly play Dust. How about you, forumgoers? Do you just not squad up sometimes but still contribute to the team? |

I squad generally with friends only, but since I don't have that many I run solo a lot.(end up in top 3 even while solo.) |

I bring out my dropship and take randoms to points when I'm alone. It's great because since I don't generate WP, I don't feel the need to be in a squad to contribute to OBs. Sometimes I just like flying and listening to music. Occassionally I pick up a great blueberry gunner too, and that's when the fun begins.
Then out come the forge guns.  |

I try to help when I play solo, but there isn't much a scout can do! (although I have returned a couple blueberry tanks to the owner) |

Very often. I like to challenge myself by forming my own squad and locking it, then work to earn an orbital solo. This forces gameplay that is team centric - i.e. uplinks, cutting off supply lines by taking CRU's/objectives closest to enemy redline, true logi work; killing bunches of snipers in the redline to give our guys free movement across open spaces; etc. It can be quite a challenge, and I greatly enjoy it. |

I work for the whole team. I set up some kind of "support grid" across the battlefield. I generate a lot of WP. 
Feel free to squad up with me when there's a spot available! |

Blueberry is just a generic term for anyone outside your squad. Since comms are so important and are generally squad-centric, "blueberries" are unpredictable and unreliable, even when they are pros. That's all. |

I'll join a squad if I'm invited. Otherwise, I mainly just run solo. I will, however, join up with a squad if the other team is rolling out a full squad or two of their own...but I usually wait until the countdown timer is almost at zero to see if anyone else is going to take the open slot. |

Team redlined **** no, not on my team, 30 seconds and uplinks in strategic places on the back half of the map.
Forge guns nailing the tanks - not for long KABOOM
Snipers got the bead on that objective - sleep well little sniper, sleep well.
Hold B, and C while the bulk of the team is taking A - Someone leave me a hive in a hidden spot and you got it

Someone is hacking objective - sees blueberries near obj - they do nothing
Tries to rep blueberry in need - blueberry runs away
Trying to hack obj - enemy begins shooting me but blueberry is next to him - blueberry watches me die and then dies shortly thereafter

Oh my. I want to do that. When I get back to Dust I think that I'll try this. It sounds exactly like the kind of thing that I'd like to do. ^_^ |

I'm primarily scout/AV, but I've started going back to my logibro days with the new patch. I generally run solo, and I think I make a fair contribution to the team. Sometimes it is frustrating when people let their clones die when I'm 5m away, but I think once they realize there is a logi running around supporting, they start to back off that mindset.
It is also a lot easier to support the team when you are dropping uplinks in key locations and hives nearby skirmishes. |

I try to squad up, but there are times when I do not. I still try to contribute to the team, but sometimes I just want to be a **** so I bring up people into the middle of a firefight :)
I try not to though. |

Bluedots are by definition a noob, as they are the ones who don't help the team. teammates and bluedots are a totally different thing. |

I never squad up, but somehow I'm always the guy holding off two heavies and a Assault Logi (The logi being the worse of the three!) alone as they try to flank a back objective.
And I usually manage to kill one heavy, and maim/kill the other heavy. The logi is always the sole survivor.
So yeah, blueberries are much more helpful then what most think. It's only the few bad berries that make the whole pie unappetizing. |
