Nanos get dropped when you don't need em. When you do, none is to be found.

I usually do this by running to the nearest logi and meleeing him. They usually get it if your armour is 100%.

That's because when you don't need them you don't notice you ever needed them 75% of the time.

Very true. I have been making a habit of dropping random nanohives whether I need them or not. I find its beneficial. And now that I do it more often, i ask myself why I wasn't it doing it before.

If you have K-2 Nanohives, you shouldn't be running out of ammo.

I still dont understand why assaults complain about having to run back to the supply depot and get more ammo but refuse to carry a descent (Adv or Proto) hive on their suit. If your not willing to run at least adv level nanohives you don't get to complain about not having any.

there was this logi once that dropped like 10 nano hives or something like that in one spot, places was glowing like crazy but everyone got ammo

Any one can complain about not getting ammo... You loose the right to complain about ammo, rez, uplinks, or scanning when you get on the forum and run your mouth like the OP. I use AR. I guess I'm just so fekkin awesome that I do not die that often, thus needing ammo refill.

The POINT of the post was, in case some of you missed it, there's too little nanohives on the field (on Skirmish) and I wonder why is that. Maybe people want to keep the hives 'just for personal use, officer' but I kind of cannot understand that since it would be beneficial to drop them more often.

Nanos get dropped when you don't need em. When you do, none is to be found.

Sorta like how needles don't exist when you're in proto. You get chain revived to enemy fire when running BPOs.

Rule#1:
if you see people running anything else apart from the galente logi then they aint logis. So except nothing apart from militia nano hives from them (if you are lucky). Yes this is pointed at the Caldari,Amarr and Minmatarr logis. You useless monkeys!

Rule#2:
look around and know what weapons your team is wielding cause a guy with a massdriver has 99% of the time decent nanohives due to the constant demand of resupply that the weapon needs.

Rule#3:
You better start speccing into nanohives. The X-3 quantum nanohive usually should refill your ammo quickly. Proto nanohives are good for logis espacially the gauged cause you get 4 off them and can refill your whole team with no trouble.

I spent a decent part of an ambush match once clicking my empty gun at friendly players, hoping someone had a hive.

...nobody did, but I finally got more ammo after I ran into a group of enemies clicking and smacking them with my rifle



We need an automatic "low ammo" icon over friendlies when you have a nanohive equipped, like how you see downed teammates with an injector equipped

Spawn points make more points. Often I am running out of ammo with 4-10 spawn points up.. nanohives :*(

Athena has a point, you get 10 WP for someone using your hive, and 25 when they spawn. If I have 2 hives down in good locations and 2 uplinks down in decent locations I will get far more points from the uplinks as the hives are very rarely used(as in I'll get maybe 40 WP from my hives and 400+ from my uplinks).

Have you also tried using better then STD hives? Maybe level 4 quantums would help you out.

Something everyone should note before speccing into, the ADV and PROTO hives have the same amount of capacity. 72 nanites for all ammo based hives, including hybrid hives(k-17d, allotek) which equates to 10 grenades. However skilling into proto will grant you more of each hive, E.G. 3 hives of standard variants, 4 for gauged variant. This is compared to 2 for all ADV variants.
