I was reading a thread in here about a Dusticle moaning cause he sucked at recruiting. To be fair it isnt that easy.
So how about an in game system that allows corps to advertise in New players rooms?
Obviously allow a corp one ad per week with a minimum number of views received. For a reasonable fee of course.
Or have an in game system where a corp can list itself as recruiting and can be found by new players in the Neo Comm.
The more obvious you make it the more likely new players are to apply to a corp.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Let's agree to not use "Dusticle" again. We already have many appropriate names to use. |

this is something eve side has and needs to be implemented along with pve industry and trade. maybe someday dust will be a complete game. Not today though. on with the grind! |

Id like to see additional rooms like a market, or corp recruitment room, where people mingle on proximity chat, talking to one another!! |

It's a cool idea but I think that many people are still going to really struggle to recruit because the bigger corps will have more money available to buy as much ad space as they like and you smaller corps will still not be able to compete. Think about it - do you see your local burger joint out-advertising maccy Ds? |

So you guys aren't actually planning to add more of those EVE-side features into Dust? Because that may be your only significant way to increase player counts. Well, thanks for at least letting us know that we shouldn't expect a player market, item trading, alliance creation/joining, better corp control, or anything else of the sort anytime soon. I have some thing to add to this
let us wear our corp symbols on our dropsuits and/or weapons
So when a corp member is dominating during a match people may see the dominating player's CORP symbol on there shoulder or weapon or something thus grabbing the attention of other mercs interrested in joining a corp.
who wouldn't want to take pride in their corp by wearing the symbol of the ones they fight for on your weapons and drop suits!? :D |

I suggested around this time last year that corps should be able to bid for ad space on boards in the war barge for their corp. They should be able to have their name and emblem displayed on one of 3 monitors in the warbarge along with the corp's ranking in the kills and WP leaderboards (as the other two boards are pretty much useless atm) and your corp-wide K/D, Kills, W/L and total WP.
The directors and CEO should be able to set a bidding price for the add space, and every time you enter a match and your corp out bids the other corps, the fee is subtracted from your corp wallet. The top 3 bidders get their ad displayed.
Been a long while since I though about this. It would be cool, but it would also be a draw on resources that could be used elsewhere.
An easier answer would be that for a set daily fee your corp's stats listed above would be added to a randomly rotating pool of corps who have also paid. Add a corp-board in the merc quarters that cycles through these names and stats. By accessing this board you can see a listing of all corps paying to have their name advertised, thus you can see who all is recruiting. |

Advertising in warbarges... interesting, I would think this could be a revenue stream for CCP outside of corps. Having a corp board would be a nice touch as well.
I think the distinguishing thing about corps will need to come in the form of game modes allowing corps to distinguish themselves for a purpose.
ie. if in PC, you had the option to do more than skirmish battles, raids in the form of ambushes to inflict casualties or blow up installations, this would create something for corps to do outside of owning districts and having a purpose. |
