I usually copy one of the basic militia fits so I get a couple of freebies, then plug in some goods that I want over the top. Most of my pay suits are between 2,000 - 5,000 ISK with the weapon of choice usually being most of the cost. Unless you're planning on plowing through people, basic shield extenders, and a simple armor repair can help when you get clipped.
Taking time on the field to look around and pick fights at a bit slower pace can also help to conserve money.

However, if you have a good squad, then the more expensive suits become a bit more viable for combat revenue because they allow better steamrolling of the competition.

You don't care about KDR? Cool. Use a starter assault suit and militia weapons and play ambush exclusively. The matches are rarely longer then eight or nine minutes, and you'll earn 120,000-169,000 isk per fight. You'll earn more if you get a lot of war points, obviously, but it really doesn't matter. I earned 17,000,0000 in a three day binge.

Don't spend it on tanks.

I got 170 mill ISK if it makes u feel any better ,and only play 3 times aweek

Like everyone else said, get milita fits. Skirm. Hack every objective that you can (you want to be in the top 5, if not top 3 to get the big payouts WPs gets you there). Pick your fights.

Or you can create an alt that's nothing but your cash cow. Or you can just transfer some money to your alt. Keep repeating the process and you should be good.

You should dedicate days to strictly ISK farming.

It's not difficult to avoid buying expensive fittings, when they don't make much of a difference, compared to cheaper fittings.

Receive donations like me! :D Recently had 50mill received, now I'm running with a proto suit and weapon kicking ass. Not caring if I die 4-6 times ( I usually end matches with 15 kills and about 3-4 deaths on average)

I spent that just getting a thousand proto suits of several types, 1k geks, 1k duvolles, 1k boundless MD, 1k imperial, 1k hmgs, 1k smgs, 1k forge guns, 1k sl wyrkomi,four thousand charge sniper rifles, four thousand thukker contact grenades,1k core flaylocks, 1k allotek plasma cannon, 1k proto shotgun, 1k viziam lasers, 1k of most proto mods.

Hopefully 1.5 fixes a few things since otherwise all that equipment is going into storage in November.

And I am just about broke at less than 600 million isk.

People who played in Open Beta were given a refund on all their gear when Uprising came out except Officer loot. Meaning that all the salvage and what have you accrued during beta was effectively sold and given to players as ISK as a one time thing. This meant people started Uprising with anywhere in the range of 50-500 million ISK.

Also, PC battles give you a bunch of ISK and districts are essentially ISK drills so there are several corps in this game with ISK in the tens of billions. After that it's just a matter of paying your corp members.

Why do you want
ISK?

ISK is for spending, while play MLT if you can play proto?
What do you prefer having ISK and being a Half ass*d soldier, or Being the best you can be and spending some money?

I always play with the best i've got and i still have 78mil , because playing with the best equipment, its the best way to avoid death.

As others have said create a BPO fit, more survivability than a starter fit with more options, and run Ambush.

BPO's give you greater flexibility as you can fit a BPO repair tool or especially a BPO uplink. BPO Raven Assault Suit with only 1 equipment slot will give you fairly decent WP return and you don't die to often if you play with a bit of caution.

The BPO Sever logistics suit with BPO Rep tool, needle and uplink can generate a lot of WP but you do die faster and less likely to win those odd 1v1's that happen.
