CCP, I have bought the Allotek Industries' Complete Infantry Pack to support Dust in anyway I can, to only come across like many other the item's was not worth the value of 100$.
So I'm going to ask CCP, can we merc that bought this allotek pack get one free active omega 30 day booster or a unique BPO like a 'Black Eagle' Assault Rifle BPO.
Customer appreciation ccp, show me you know it. |

Why should you get it? You are able to look up what the pack offers before you buy it. Even in the forums everybody agreed that the pack is hardly worth 100 bucks. If you went ahead and bought it anyways, why should you suddenly get something that wasn't promised in the first place? |

Okay maybe I said in a wrong way.
CCP need to add some kind of customer appreciation / loyalty programs for players that spent a lots of AUR in game to be rewarded for supporting Dust, also it will also show CCP care for the active paying customer.
For Example: CCP will reward customer for every 200,000 Aur spent in game. IF I spent 700,000 Aur, CCP will reward me with 3 unique items.

Something like a rewards credit cards, the more you spent the more you get reward. It encourage and motivate to spent and used the card more.
That the other point, I don't feel encourage or motivate to spend anymore money in dust, every since I hit 2X.X million skill point. I also feel the money I spent to support Dust end up back lashing at me, as I see no gratitude only mockery. |

Ok, something like that would be a nice idea. But they should be careful about what they offer. Too many people want to hop onto the "Dust 514 is P2W!"-Bandwagon. Maybe some kind of Equipment which is somewhere better than standard gear but worse than advanced gear would be a nice idea for something like this. |

The closest thing to any loyalty program that CCP has ever offered is free access to an exclusive station that can only be accessed by players who have been around for ten years.
TEN YEARS!!!!! Just for access to a station.
But if you're one of those folks who have never missed a billing since 2003 for Eve Online, like those four guys did in Fanfest 2013, then you were awarded a collector edition Nvidia graphics card known as The Titan with a signed sketch of one of the four titans of Eve Online.
But that was it. I don't recall CCP every having a loyalty program beyond that. And just because other companies do it that doesn't mean CCP is obligated to do so. Other companies do it because they can financially support it. I don't know about CCP. |

After spending a lot of Aurum that would be apporpriate I guess.
Even then, many people can still see that as pay-to-win regardless of how little an advantage it gives. We already have too many people calling Dust 514 P2W just because of the existence of an AURUM market even though they never bothered to read the stats of the items sold. |

By the way, CCP has been much appreciative with the customers. If you have problems with the merc pack items such as...
1. Unable to access what you bought. 2. Items not showing in your hangar after spending AUR. etc.
then you can contact CCP via the petition system at www.dust514.com/support. They can follow up fairly quick I can assure you.

Yeah exactly, it's called buyers remorse and I can definitely see why you'd have it with that pack. Hopefully you'll get something from them if you file a ticket or something, they seem pretty reasonable. I really like the idea of the preferred customer program, any person paying real money for a free game is obviously more committed than those that don't so there should be more incentives to keep those players paying.
I want them to keep regularly changing the merc packs or make them have different options of BPO's that you can choose from when you buy them to convince me to purchase more of them. |

For Dust to be pay-to-win, there has to be clear and definite advantages to your gameplay that money gets for you, that playing free does not.
There is a disconnect between how valuable CCP thinks its items and equipment are, and what we know it to be. CCP dramatically overestimates how valuable its consumables are. To most of us, a fitting, and everything on it is like toilet paper.
Pretty much all of us look at the AURUM shop and laugh our asses off, because we know it's idiotic to spend the amount of money that CCP requests for consumable items. Prices need to come down by like 70-90% before people even consider dropping a nickle here or a dime here for the crap consumables. Only the blueprints have real value because they stay with you.
STD level blueprints are hardly pay-to-win. The OP's point stands, we have no incentive to buy any of this useless crap, and the ones that do should be rewarded. PlayStation store says, "Thank you for your purchase." Why doesn't Dust? |

Well....lets see what to say about this topic. People who pay for the game and pay to support the game should be given different advantages or different things the allow them to have a better or easier time of things. I think that for each 50 dollars spent should be access to more cosmetic suits ones that look really bad ass to walk around in, even if they don't do much. Possibly give rewards based on how the recruiter rewards occur, nothing insanely powerful, but powerful enough or namesake enough that people know you donate to the game. Maybe even instead of all this, paying customers get to vote on and choose which updates/items CCP works on next to update. Essentially making them voting members of the community and have the price tag to get to be able to vote even the cheapest package on the game. In a lot of games though, vip status is given to those who donate over a certain amount, so possibly Dust could have a VIP mode, that gives you a 25% or X% when you die you will not loose X amount of items or vehicle parts and that you get a better scavenging table to loot from or something like that. Free players will always complain that doing anything is paying to win, however, if they aren't willing to even pay five dollars to support the game their opinnion really doesn't matter, they are just a leech off of everyone else's generousity. |

I could see a reward program in dust. I would even pose something that allows users to select their reward after all if you rewarded me with a blueprint scout dropsuit i would not appreciate it much being that i primarily play a heavy. A blueprint boundless would make me very happy though. But i doubt ccp gives a dam. I mean really look at the crap they keep just shoveling into the game expecting people to deal with. And this is after a year of closed beta. If ccp really even gave a dam at all they wouldnt have to constantly re-balance things because they would run an effective play test server where they would do a majority of the re-balancing before releasing absolute garbage to the player base. |

Guess what? This happens at EVERY store you shop at.
Just because I don't laugh in your face, doesn't mean that I don't laugh about you when you're gone. And when you're rude to me and I smile the whole time and kiss your ass while you're in front of me, you should know that the whole time I'm trying to find a way to get you the hell out of the store so I can help someone that is actually going to be respectful.
We live in a world with harsh realities and this is one of them. I recommend you watch the movie "Waiting" and note the attitudes they have towards customers. There's more fact than fiction there.
I would even wager that they have a good laugh in the CCP offices over some of the crap posted kn these forums too. Does that mean that they don't show appreciation to their customers? No it just means that they aren't allowed to tell you what they really think about you. |

I have seen Waiting a few times and although it's very funny, I would not recommend you base your customer relations skills on a bunch of losers from a movie, that will definitely lead to you being unemployed 95% of the time, just a bit of free career advice for you dumb-ass! On the same note, I have personally worked in customer relations or directly providing a service for customers for an approximate 15 years of my 20 year working life, outside of my software development jobs, and I never laugh at customers in the manner that you brag that you do... to their faces or behind their backs, but then again, I consider myself to be a reasonable person whereas you, on the other hand, are evidently quite the jerk!
That is truly epic douchebaggery. Like hardcore.
I've had a CSR do that with me before.
One customer came in, and gave him a hard time. She leaves after he resolves the issue, then he looks at me rolls his eyes and laughs about her calling her *****. I laughed with him, but I really considered that guy an ******* for doing that.
What kind of smacktard actually DOES his job, just to stand there and complain about it afterwards?
Next time you jive with one of your regulars over how stupid some other customer seems, don't forget that the customer you're talking to could very well think of you as a douchebag for doing that. Now that's hard reality. |
