Dear CCP,
As someone who is a great supporter of you and appreciate all the work you've done, PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO AIM ASSIST!!! Don't let these unappreciative tryhard QQers ruin this game for new players because they expect the only people to have fun with this game to be vets with 15 mil + SP. They're arguments against it are terrible, mainly being that only scrubs need aim assist, in fact pretty much anybody who hasn't spent half they're life playing PS FPS games needs aim assist. Combat is better, stomping has practically ended, diversity is back, this game is the best it has ever been.
I would trade 1 pissed off bitter over entitled Vet for 1 optimistic new player anyday.

Scouts should whip out a scanner and stop acting like they should be able to run into the middle of a battle. With the scanner changes the scout has the distinct advantage of being nearly undectetable by radar. When I run scout I stick to stealth and avoiding conflict and when I do run into oppostition, I make sure I get the jump on them for a stealth kill, or get out. |

The only fps I played before this was battlefield bad company 2 and I only played that for a few months before this game came out. Aim assist IS for scrubs and it really isn't that hard to get good.
I was in a joke pc match just messing around and I was afking for a moment and the enemy kept walking back and forth in front of me. My controller.... i kid you not.... was on the table and my character was moving on its own. tracking every enemy. That is not aim assist you find in other games. that is aim bot... |

First of all YOUR comment is biased, you play stealthily as a scout because you like to play that way. Others like myself like to run in and destroy multiple enemies at once, because that is my play style. When they do fix the Aim-Assist and Scouts, I'll patiently wait for your comments about scouts being OP when in actually reality their not and you probably just need to get better at aiming. |

I don't have a problem with Aim Assist. I think the biggest issue for people is that hit detection works.
Whatever the issue the Time To Kill needs to be raised a bit. I've adapted somewhat but it's still very difficult to turn a profit in pubs with ADV gear.
Maybe they don't need to raise TTK, but they need to adjust the market prices to coincide with the increase in deaths.
It doesn't appear to be a problem for those that choose to keep distance and use range weapons, but there still has to be players that push points and engage in close quarters combat.
I think this change is great for the new players, but there needs to be some overall balancing to adjust things. This was a HUGE change in gameplay. |

I used to think this but you notice the aimbot 100% more if you find an enemy who won't shoot you and instead walks back and forth in front of you. Just put your contoller down and watch youself move. |

Your playstyle is more suited for an assault suit, if you can't find the best gear for your playstyle that's your problem. |

You assume I dont already use a Scanner.
And I'm using stealth now, it still doesn't change the fact that once I'm caught, I'm too damn easy to hit. |

Really does it matter what the cause is?
We are unhappy about dying so fast. Probably not because we are worried that our KDR will take a .15 hit, but because gear is expensive and we've all grinded our ass off for it.
If you run a 2.0 KDR in pubs you should be able to run a profit in ADV gear. I'm not sure how anybody can argue that. |

Dude I just ment to test it out in a controlled environment. Scientists have hypothesis and test it out in controlled environments so they can be in control of certain variables. They manipulate thee variables to study the effects it has in the experiment.
All this proves is that while you character moves on its own, it also helps people aim. People suck and cannot aim because they can't seem to get used to controller sensitivity. Move the stick a little, move a little, move it alot, move alot. People that seem to lack this ability feel like they need aim assist to help them get on target. People happy with this couldn't aim before and they still do not want to admit it and are blaming hitboxes.
Its working the sensitivity for you and helping you move your gun towards the enemy. You are essentially being tricked because you think that is you moving right on the target but it is really aim assist doing half the work. The only way to prove how much aim assist helps is to actually see it doing all the work for you when you put your controller down. |

Love, Tallen hey turd! tell me what does 15mil sp has to do with aim assist? no need to be rude. He wants to be able to compete and not be pub stomped but this is not the way to do it. I can think of other ways but the player base is too small. Adding new game modes will only further divide our players atm. CCP needs to make this attractive for new players without killing the competitive aspect of this game. |

Lets not forget the large role hit detection has on this too. AA is only a part of the new TTK. |

Im curious.
How many people that are truly bitching about AA use KB/M? How many use the DS3? (I use this)
I just came back from a break to see the new craze is trashing the Aim Assist. While playing, I hardly see the difference. My kills didn't go up, my deaths didn't go down; however, the game seems more fun to me. Really, it seems to me that it is more about a functional hit detection then it is about "##zomg-aim-botzzz".
Now then, what I DO see is more careful tactic being used. (Squad teamwork and communication is in play and is key.)
I see faster fights with the mighty proto-suit being somewhat meh in relation to the lesser varieties. (Pub Stomping was really boring and I dig the battle being an actual battle; as anyone with a back bone should.)
I see an even playing field to those that use KB/M and DS3. New and Old.
I see less dancing, stepping, and much less jumping. **(I do this still and often find myself walking away from the fight half dead...but still alive.)**
I see "pros" being killed by "noobs" once in a while. (and im not even mad)
I still see lone wolf run-and-gunners, tho I also see more of the dead variety. (It is still possible, just requires more skill than before, adapt. CCP gives you tools to do so.)
Nobody likes dying, but does anyone really enjoy emptying a clip or three into a single target to get dem sweet-ass war points? (I hardly think so; but i still find this game far from a twitch shooter.)
I turned my aim bot off and ran 3 games, changed it back on and ran 3 more. I averaged just about the same on both sets of rounds. Maybe Im so terrible that im awesome? Maybe im so leet that I suck? (/shrug, no ***** to give folks.)
I don't know what you people really expect but self assured victory and instant gratification by griping about every single thing CCP adds to make the game somewhat playable for the newcomers. That isn't what this game should be about. I even hear this among the ranks of my own corp and still couldn't care less if it was or wasn't "a thing".
Everyone has a play style, and roughly 100 people that are against it in every way to justify their own failures in New Eden.
