The only fps I played before this was battlefield bad company 2 and I only played that for a few months before this game came out. Aim assist IS for scrubs and it really isn't that hard to get good.
I was in a joke pc match just messing around and I was afking for a moment and the enemy kept walking back and forth in front of me. My controller.... i kid you not.... was on the table and my character was moving on its own. tracking every enemy. That is not aim assist you find in other games. that is aim bot... |

Whatever the issue the Time To Kill needs to be raised a bit. I've adapted somewhat but it's still very difficult to turn a profit in pubs with ADV gear.
Maybe they don't need to raise TTK, but they need to adjust the market prices to coincide with the increase in deaths.
It doesn't appear to be a problem for those that choose to keep distance and use range weapons, but there still has to be players that push points and engage in close quarters combat.
I think this change is great for the new players, but there needs to be some overall balancing to adjust things. This was a HUGE change in gameplay. I used to think this but you notice the aimbot 100% more if you find an enemy who won't shoot you and instead walks back and forth in front of you. Just put your contoller down and watch youself move. |

LMAO.. because often in a match the enemy doesn't shoot at you and just walks back and forth like some model showing off a new outfit... ridiculous... this is why AA is fine... because that doesn't happen....
Dude I just ment to test it out in a controlled environment. Scientists have hypothesis and test it out in controlled environments so they can be in control of certain variables. They manipulate thee variables to study the effects it has in the experiment.
All this proves is that while you character moves on its own, it also helps people aim. People suck and cannot aim because they can't seem to get used to controller sensitivity. Move the stick a little, move a little, move it alot, move alot. People that seem to lack this ability feel like they need aim assist to help them get on target. People happy with this couldn't aim before and they still do not want to admit it and are blaming hitboxes.
Its working the sensitivity for you and helping you move your gun towards the enemy. You are essentially being tricked because you think that is you moving right on the target but it is really aim assist doing half the work. The only way to prove how much aim assist helps is to actually see it doing all the work for you when you put your controller down. |

As someone who is a great supporter of you and appreciate all the work you've done, PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO AIM ASSIST!!! Don't let these unappreciative tryhard QQers ruin this game for new players because they expect the only people to have fun with this game to be vets with 15 mil + SP. They're arguments against it are terrible, mainly being that only scrubs need aim assist, in fact pretty much anybody who hasn't spent half they're life playing PS FPS games needs aim assist. Combat is better, stomping has practically ended, diversity is back, this game is the best it has ever been.
I would trade 1 pissed off bitter over entitled Vet for 1 optimistic new player anyday.
Love, Tallen hey turd! tell me what does 15mil sp has to do with aim assist? no need to be rude. He wants to be able to compete and not be pub stomped but this is not the way to do it. I can think of other ways but the player base is too small. Adding new game modes will only further divide our players atm. CCP needs to make this attractive for new players without killing the competitive aspect of this game. |

Tallen Ellecon wrote:TTK is an issue, but instead of nerfing AA we should reduce damage done by weapons. We could start by eliminating the 10 percent buff all weapons got at the beginning of Uprising. There is an idea I that I am okay with. I totally forgot about our previous buff.
but AA is still not okay with me. Competitive players want to say they beat you without AA. They want to say you killed them with pure skill and not AA. I know alot of gamers can be sore losers but really competitive people want truly skill based things. no assist of any kind. |
