 I have played a fair share of matches and I don't even feel a difference. Yes I did check that it was on.

 The issue is hip firing is too accurate ATM. To me it feels like im playing MAG again and whoever shoots first wins most of the time.

 People are mistaking increased hit detection for aim assist.
 
 Just replace "hit detection" for "aim assist" in the threads you read and things will be fine.

 Hipfiring before this has always required some degree of 'Skill'.

 Am I the only one who has never used ADS? I've always used hip fire. ADS takes away from my field of vision :/
 
 Hip fire shooting seems more 'smooth' now from what I can tell, before it had a choppy experience that I was chalking up to latency.

 I'm getting kills while hip firing that I have no business getting. Guys that are so far away that without using ADS they look like nothing more than a dark smudge on the screen. AA occasionally goes totally crazy too. Like I'll spawn in with several reds around and my reticule starts making large circular movements because it can't decide who to track. My field of vision is actually pitching up and down by about 45 degrees without my hands even being on the controls...and moving my mouse won't seize control from the system when it goes spastic like that. I've had at least a few deaths because of that happening.
 
 On top of that hit detection is finally registering every shot, it seems. Weapons were balanced around most of the shots *not* hitting, so now the high rate of fire weapons are wildly overpowered.

 I haven't had my hip shooting cause my FOV go wacky like that yet but I only use pistols, shotguns, knives and a sniper rifle. There may be an 'effective range' issue that hip shooting is causing. I notice that, with a pistol, at 49% effective range, I'm barely hitting them and even then the damage seems negligible. The problem might be more with ARs, SCRs or similar types.
 
 If there is an issue with effective range and hip-shooting, maybe a penalty to hip shooting should start at 50% effective range which exponentially increases the further away, causing your shots to either recoil more or disperse more. I haven't felt like it is 'auto aim' in the slightest and my K/D has remained pretty consistent from the last patch to this patch. The only thing that is tearing me up more quickly than usual is an AR but I have no data to back that up or offer any more insights beyond the subjective observation of seeing my shields and armor melt rather (extremely in some cases) quickly under a concentrated AR stream, sometimes a SCR (they are usually closer than the AR).
 
 In the middle of fights I've had no issues remaining on target. I'd ADS but it doesn't feel natural for me in the slightest, not with the weapons I use anyway.
