That's not really patch notes you want, that's a dev blog you want, or something like this https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=104985&find=unread Personally I don't want the devs doing weekly blogs for every feature they're working on. Those things take a lot of time to do and I'd rather they spend that time working on those features. |

As has been pointed out many times before, this isn't just changing a few numbers. They're doing a complete overhaul on a niche part of the game, as well as overhauling AV and how the two interact. Plus, when Uprising deployed, they changed how the vehicle powergrid skill worked, but didn't change the description in-game. It was wasted SP to get that skill to 5. As such, rightly so I believe, tankers lost faith in CCP for a little while, but as usual, we overcame it.

This isn't a problem like the TAR rifles, flaylock, or Caldari Logi suits, where they get abused like crazy and that ends up in a nerf. People cry respec when things like that happen because the flavor of the month was taken away.
This is a total redesign of how vehicles and AV operate. There's a lot of SP at stake for individuals. They'll be adding some skills, removing some, as well as changing how some operate. I don't believe it would be difficult if on a Friday, Wolfman made maybe a 3-paragrah post telling us what they accomplished for the week, and asking people what they think.
It would also be great if they'd listen to the pilots, not the guys that consider Lai Dais to be all the AV they need. If the other team doesn't have AV to counter tanks, why should we be nerfed because matchmaking put 3 tankers against a team with no better than STD AV? Not our fault. Scotty got drunk again. |

Was over nerfed... and that'ts a fact... went from a majority of my deaths belonging to playing in the streets and getting ran over... to not getting ran over one time since the patch...
Yah that is emulated across DUST... so... did he fix it? or just silence the majority... balance... ffs..... isn't tipped to one side. no matter if I'm on the side it got tipped towards.
Maybe one day we will actually have full body ground features... so when we get hit we land on our face and have to get up and are stunned for a period doing so.
Edit* I can get ran over by a friendly tank now and die... or die jumping out of a friendly dropship. |

- New turrets
- New Shield Recharge Mechanics
- Armor regen is Passive
- Pilot Dropsuit (maybe a little after 1.5 though)
- Feedback in one form or another (possibly TACNET) to understand when a vehicle activated a module
- Small Turrets no longer required

I would say that on the graphical front, the thrust and headlights of Dropships probably shouldn't be being counted as part of the aircraft body, like they are now.
If you look at a Dropship running active mods, that mesh animation now wraps around the thrust and lights. Looks kind of amusing, honestly. |

I've ran over at least 200 people since the drop of 1.4 (note: I don't try and run over people, as that's lame, but rather, I swerve if they're close to my LLV). You just have to now go close to full speed to do so. People who was going slow and still running people over just hasn't figured that out yet. |

Basically this language means that focus of the vehicle will shift over to the modules. So while hulls (IE ALL VEHICLES) may be getting nerfed, the modules are being massively buffed to make up for it. So there would be very notable differences if you slap 1 armor plate on one vehicle verses slapping 2 armor plates on and a worlds of a difference apart if you slap 3 on. |

Of course those will be weak if you just fit a booster/repper on them with no resistance mods at all, and they'll be even weaker if you don't have vehicle core skills to at least 4.
Nowhere in his posting does that mean hulls are going to be made any weaker when 1.5 drops. |

So I'm assuming that hulls price is getting reduced, but modules are going up in price? Hopefully not, we'll just have to see..... |
