That's not really patch notes you want, that's a dev blog you want, or something like this https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=104985&find=unread. Personally I don't want the debs doing weekly blogs for every feature they're working on. Those things take a lot of time to do and I'd rather they spend that time working on those features. As has been pointed out many times before, this isn't just changing a few numbers. They're doing a complete overhaul on a niche part of the game, as well as overhauling AV and how the two interact. Plus, when Uprising deployed, they changed how the vehicle powergrid skill worked, but didn't change the description in-game. It was wasted SP to get that skill to 5. As such, rightly so I believe, tankers lost faith in CCP for a little while, but as usual, we overcame it.

This isn't a problem like the TAR rifles, flaylock, or Caldari Logi suits, where they get abused like crazy and that ends up in a nerf. People cry respec when things like that happen because the flavor of the month was taken away.
This is a total redesign of how vehicles and AV operate. There's a lot of SP at stake for individuals. They'll be adding some skills, removing some, as well as changing how some operate. I don't believe it would be difficult if on a Friday, Wolfman made maybe a 3-paragrah post telling us what they accomplished for the week, and asking people what they think.
It would also be great if they'd listen to the pilots, not the guys that consider Lai Dais to be all the AV they need. If the other team doesn't have AV to counter tanks, why should we be nerfed because matchmaking put 3 tankers against a team with no better than STD AV? Not our fault. Scotty got drunk again. |

https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=104985&find=unread Of course base hulls are weak. The Gunnlogi has 3250 base shield, and the Madrugar has 3625 base armor. Of course those will be weak if you just fit a booster/repper on them with no resistance mods at all, and they'll be even weaker if you don't have vehicle core skills to at least 4.
Nowhere in his posting does that mean hulls are going to be made any weaker when 1.5 drops. |
