Awesome foursome on the new sockets, can you please let your terrain designers that have one MASSIVE EXTREME FAN. The Gallente Research Outpost was all I could have hoped for and more, even though I'm moving into tanking there are so many possibilities for combat all throughout it myself and my buddy Aero have been exploring them and working out the best ways to get from place to place and where our weapons will work best when inside.
You too man keep up your responsiveness to the sockets and game modes.
Your devdom is on par with Wolfman's. Become my favourite dev and you shall get the lamb promised to him. |

We appreciate the love. We all worked hard on these areas and are very happy to see the players enjoying them. |

All we need are some Amarrian goodies and such and maybe and Amarr HAV's and were cool.... hint hint nudge nudge.
But seriously good work on the outposts I love them. |

just curious, have you experimented with enviromental hazards, like electricity and such? i ask because i think that a REALLY cool minnie outpost in the future might be something akin to a tech graveyard. a place where junk and debris have collected over time, and the idea would be that mercs would be fighting over ancient tech or something, but it would be cool if you added enviromental hazards to it so people not paying attention might get fried or boiled to a crisp. anyway, just my personal musings. i LOVE the new outpost, cant wait to see the new maps themselfs |

Well, we have the power core top that zaps you. But we havn't really considered it for "core" gameplay mechanics to be honest. |

The socket designers did a great job making really fun and interesting sockets with lots of ways to traverse from place to place, and the map designers did a great job at making unique and balanced maps (especially Border Gulch). |

When CCP gets around to the Storm planet type, I'd love to see random lightning strikes that can kill you, vehicles, turrets, whatever. |

The new socket set, the new maps and the new terrain are all equally at a solid 11/10 compared to what we had before. Go have a vacation on CCP's payroll or something because you and your team absolutely deserve it.
It's still early days but I can see the amount of effort that went into each detail of the sockets, maps and terrain at every corner. I have quite simply no doubts the rest of the socket sets are going to be equally awesome now.
Good, now that I posted this I can go back to criticizing the rest of the game... So, who made that change to the dropship camera? I've just invented a new method of torture involving sharpened shards of glass, a head mounted display and a recording of the 2013 MTV Music Awards that would be quite suitable for situations like this. |

wait, ...so you actually WANT to be killed arbitrarily by some random event on occasion? |

If it's an environmental hazard, sure. It shouldn't be like "select random player and punt", but "select random point in the map zone, and punt". If you happen to be there, it sucks to be you.
As more environment types appear, I want more differentiation between them. As well as different types of vehicles and/or equipment to compensate for them. Maybe storm bolts are heavily attracted to shield-heavy things, and armor-based vehicles will fair better on that planet. Maybe it'll fry a dropsuit outright, but vehicles merely get the equivalent of being fluxxed, i.e. their shields get burnt out.
For example, Ice planets, which I assume will use things like the new snow mood, should have drastically impaired handling on LAVs. They should be tuned to behave very similarly to some of DUST's worst LAV handling mechanics of patches past on icy terrain. But perhaps a MAV, HAV, or even a treaded (and somewhat slower) LAV may handle on that terrain without a problem. |
