i havnt played 1.4 yet but all this complaing makes me think its going to be bad...

any ways i think a gear restriction would have been better for match making...it basicly would have killed the proto pub stomps..

or whats left of it after this build or update.

What are you guys thoughts on the aim assist?
does it make the game worse in your opinion or better?

wouldnt mind letting CCP know where they stand on this update in a possitive note rather then QQ threads filling the front page.
I havent played yet because i am updating now as we speak but some feedback should make the devs see where they did good or wrong.
also i hope match making was fixed instead of ccp working on issues that didnt need fixing and leaving the main issues broken as usual.

careful where i tread? reread your post and tell me with a straight face that my response wasnt warranted. its the problem with people who arent as good as others that they feel entitled to have thing handed on a silver platter. either get better and enjoy the fruits of your hard work or accept the fact that you are not as good as others. I dont put effort into getting good with my aim so someone else can have a computer aiming for him. in other games it is called hacking/cheating.

LOL dont need aimbot to be good with laser. Laser rifle is the same as it was before, the new sight just makes it easier to us. However, the very heavy aim assist is EZ mode.

Your dead on Lurch, aim assists needs dulled down a little. It can't be left the way it is simply because some people can't aim for ****. I love using the laser rifle now but I would rather have to get better at using it than dealing with the way aim assist is currently.

While feedback can be helpful, it can also be misleading! For the most part change itself can cause an uproar, but at the same time persistent constructive uproar is usually a good indication. So while some things are very much known issues that are not working as intended, other things are more of a - well lets see how this really pans out before we knee-jerk and fix it. So please keep the feedback coming, be constructive and please know that you are being read. My eyes are not bleeding, (yet) I am here reading you! :)

here is the issue now.
we will have to probably wait till next update in about 6 months for them to fix this and yet again we will have to deal with this until the next screw up in 1.5
is this fair?

The new aim assists are supremely broken, as in too good. They really need to simply rollback the aiming to before uprising.

The Laser is back to its chromosome days....IT IS GLORIOUS!

Simmer down scrub, this aint no EVEtard PVE no need for tracking computers and game sim to do all the work for u, if its too tough for u to handle go join Machen Tosch and the rest of the lolcarebear reject brigade of EVE and go work the market, it may be more your pace.

See, all the hardcore fps ragin A-teamers are out in force complaint about two things: matchmaking and aim assist

What you don't seem to grok yet is that the two issues are inherently tied together and it's not aiming that was buffed or matchmaking broken; YOU have been nerfed

Now that I can effectively fire an AR in Dust I will be able to stand up against amped up fps super squads ( just look at the corps posting the loudest whines). This makes unbalanced matches less of an issue. This makes it less likely that I will afk vs RnD, Gunfall, TP squads.

I kind of knew I had crappy aim before, but I managed to do alright playing cautiously.

Today on the other hand, my aim doesn't seem much improved with aim assist on. Others however are chewing my shields/armor like never before.

I think I was in a match with you today. Just the two of us on one side and 8-10 on the other.
It was a little painful.
To the issues I've noticed:

Matchmaking seems... Off. See above. However, 1st day of patch, on a weekday, lot's of kids back
in school (US). I'll hold judgement for a week or two before I start complaining here.

Aim assist, didn't notice a difference with the HMG, Shotgun, Nova Knives. Perhaps a slight
stickiness on target with the AR but I tend to try and adjust manually so I may have been working
against the aim assist. Going to turn it back off next time I play.

Hit detection seems to have gotten worse for the shotgun. I snuck up on a sniper in Line Harvest,
put the barrel POINT BLANK to the back of the head and had to pull the trigger 3 times to kill a scout
suit. He stayed motionless for the first two shots... The HD for the HMG and AR seems about the
same. HD for the knives seems better.

Battle select is wierd... Maybe I just need to get used to it. I unchecked Ambush and got thrown
in an ambush. Perhaps an issue with some sort of matchmaking timeout or something.

Lasers seemed far more lethal for the first time since Chrome. Aim assist or a stealth buff?
Died alot more to scrambler rifles than usual. Not sure if aim assist is the culprit or matchmaking.
