BOOOOOOO. You're breaking my balls wolfman. I sincerely hope the fine tuning has improved, getting a headshot at ~450m can be an absolute nightmare sometimes. |

Answers to a few questions:
*The forge doesn't get any of the new assists either.
*Snipers have always had aim friction so the changes will not have any effect on them.
*In 1.5 you'll be able to fine tune your aim sensitivity better as well as setting it for ADS and hipfire separately. That will probably help snipers some. |

On another note: I'm a dedicated sniper and there are a few things I can tell you.
First: Don't sweat it too much. You're probably hitting a streak of bad luck.
Second: We can follow you pretty well. Break up your path and speed.
Third: You are in a paper thin suit. Most sniper rifles will easily OHK you. Your best armor is stealth. Pile on those modules.
Fourth: Use cover as much as you can.
Fifth: Learn where you get sniped most often. Keep away from those places.
Sixth: Scout suits are excellent for sniping. Therefore they are excellent for counter sniping. Get some payback.

No time to target, no bullet drop, can hit people from 400+ meters away when we can't even see you, almost every map is completely open and has some sort of tower overlooking 75%+ of the map, and at least two versions (charged ands thale's) that can one-shot anything but proto suits (and in some cases even proto suits) without hitting someone in the head.

What about forge gun? I remember from summer 2012 when I specced into heavy and forge sniping was surprisingly easy. Back then it felt that while the crosshair blinked red the enemies even on top of Line Harvest tower just 'caught' the shot, even while only their upper torso was visible. Nowadays I use forge far less but reds sometimes still seem to catch the it.
EDIT: CCP:

There's no coincidence at all. As a sniper, we look for people running in the open. They're the easy ones. Sprinting does not help you. As others have said, you need to break up your movement. I'm willing to bet the guy shot you in the same part of the map as well. I had my best performance in the game to date today of 30/3. 15 of those were spread across 3 guys who didn't learn, which is the only reason I got so many kills. I average around 15 normally. These guys kept returning to the same place, running across the same part of the map, getting shot in the same head.
Don't make it easy for us. We like the challenge. |

A fair statement. I don't use scout dropsuits so I don't know for sure what you can and can't carry.
I can tell you this: I have had my scope zoomed up on guys in scout gear and I can see their toons but all my reticle does is change from a white dot to a red dot. No chevron or armour/shield bars. Sometimes these guys are inside 200m. I'm not sure how you guys do that, I assumed it was partly due to the modules you were using.
Perhaps the minmatar version will offer you increased utility.

Partially obscured vision?
I think I tested against a minmatar light suit with 3 militia dampeners, and it still fully lit up. The only thing I've found so far that helps against s sniper scope, is to be at least partially behind something.
