 I was just curious if anyone remembered these and why we got them. We used to get 15 points for doing decent damage to a HAV, 10 for LAVs, 20 for the MCC (we used to Forge that so hard :p) etc.
 
 I was thinking, if CCP would reinstate the feature, would the AV crowd consent to a buff to Vehicle HP across the board? You get WP for actively deterring the enemy vehicles, and a bonus bunch for securing their destruction/death of the pilot. The Vehicles get longer survivability and the ability to give points to the enemy without those points being too few for the invested time in killing them or being solely from their death (which leads to demented AV players rushing into redlines and getting killed just to get their WP). AVers get WP and can stop going all or nothing, Vehicles get less lost gear and greater survivability, everyone wins :D

 True, but if more people use AV then the groundpounders have an easier time cloning the enemy because a Swarm can't touch an AR. I was thinking 1-3k HP for a tank, but its been SO long since I tanked I have no idea how much HP they have, should have, have if well fit, nor how much each HP matters. I'd need actual HAV/LAV/Derpship pilots to come in here and give me the numbers end of this. I'd also like the set Turrets to be effected by this as well.

 And then we have people abuse it in fac war matches to gain sp. go sit in the distance away from everything and damage the tank slightly let it rep rinse and repeat.

 Boosters are going to boost nomatter what you do. Besides, that's 15 WP or so every minute? At least, if you don't want other AV to join in and wreck the tank. I'm sure there are better ways to get SP. We can't sit in fear over Booster asshats, only think of ways to counter them.

 Swarms when competing for a kill against something that kills faster. (FG)
 A sniper that loses his points because the last 10 hp is taken away by AR. or the other way around.
 HAVs that kill installations, but their turret operators wait last second to fire just to get more points.
 Whether it be exploiting or just players being donkeys, its broken or just needs polishing.

 If they gave it to us again, it would be so amazing. I would cap out my weekly SP in just two hours and would not have to play the game at all. All I would need is to get into a match with a corpie on the other side - with a cheap lav and a repair gun for the LAV. This would be even more awesome than just sitting in a MCC all day!

 Works fine in other FPS. in Dust though were difference in HP between a light and a heavy frame is an ! order of magnitude and installations take a full cache of ammo drom some weapons to drop - yeah, that one last shot wins it all policy is irritating. But hey, then again, 'welcom to new eden' biches!

 In all seriousness though, good luck getting that to work at all in a full match without someone on one side or the other either trying to stop you or trying to 'help' you kill the LAV.

 If the vehicle retreats I usually stop there. Deal is... Most of them are brave/dumb enough to keep going.

 Like being a log you get so many pts then it stops even thos you are still repping ppl, when you kill some one or revive ppl the pts dont stop
 
 Same with spider tanking and DS, no pts for anything

I must say Mr. Nine, if I get a constant stream of WP from NOT killing your tank, I'd be much happier with keeping you suppressed all match rather than trying suicide runs/hot drops/et al trying to kill your tank. You may be frustrated if I kill your tank early in the match, but then so will I since that means an early stop to my WP trust fund lol.
 
 Basically what I'm saying is you wont see AV acting as desperate to kill your vehicle if they are rewarded for merely keeping you suppressed. You may not LIKE being suppressed, but I'm sure you like it a lot less when you lose a tank.

 In fact, we could use a similar system to allow people to deter snipers as well, give 5 WP for depleting an enemy shield. I'm sure someone can put more thought into this facet than me, gotta go out in a minute, but just leaving it here to spark ideas.
 
 then this becomes away to quickly farm the enemy vehicles to get an orbital strike quicker. why destroy vehicle for 150 wp whn we can continusly get slight point increments throught the entire match and get orbital stikes quicker.

 Because the vehicle is killing your men if you do not kill it, and it takes vehicles a full minute to recharge their active modules. In that time, your useless butt sits on the mountain waiting for the vehicle to reappear, making your team lose because all the other vehicles are running amok. You cannot 'farm' something that cannot be domesticated. The enemy will sooner kill you.

 They were removed because they were being used for farming. Once some of our new anti-farming stuff comes online and we've had a chance to see how the vehicle gameplay is developing we'll consider bringing them back.

 I assumed that was the case, but I hoped it wasn't so. We lose so many cool features to Boosters... if only WP didn't give OBs :c
 
 From all of us, AV and tanker alike, we would love to get points for suppression for all the reasons and viewpoints given in the thread. I do hope that these 'anti-farming' measures work as well as you want them to.

 a good tanker will get hit once or twice and bounce. Then hel come back shortly after and repeat. You would get so many warpoints so quickly you wont even want to kill the tank, youd farm the hell out of his tank for points

 So when anti afk comes (a future date) and youve had a chance to review vehicle gameplay (a further date) then youll consider it? (Even more distant future)
 
 three leaps into the future for something we already had at one point.
 
 To prevent farming. Which is still done by afk and revive farming.

 Yes, it was 25 for MCC's, 20 for HAV's, 15 for DS's, and 10 for LAV's, and I think it was 2-4 hits during a 10-20 second time period.
