As soon as this aiming comes into effect, an everyone dropped the md for a lazer, an you have a cats cradle of later beams in a open field in a ambush match us little shield scout will be cut into mor pieces than that dude in the hallway in resident evil 1!
I don't think most of us can handle much more waitng, yes hit detections getting fixed , woo, but not just for the shotgun an knives it's for everything!
So that means the jerk with 4 damage mods on his pro5 assault rifle killing us from across the map is gonna have better aim?!
My god this is gonna eat us alive since they haven't fixed the hit box or balanced or speed to get away fro A speed moded assault, not to mention I can't even use two speed mods if I want full shields an all my weapons, equip, and a grenades.
So ccp crack the whip so we get a nice fix right after 1.4, cuz the scout is getting snubbed like a red headed step child! |

Hopefully it doesn't.... that would be terrible....
We need at least twice the Scan Range of Medium and Heavy, equalised scan ranges are ridiculous, especially when I'm supposed to be a SCOUT.
Our Stamina needs a buff and the ISK cost of our suits need a nerf.
We could also use more CPU/PG.
So, basically everything you need to keep Scouts happy for a month or two, are mostly stat changes, which I assume, can be deployed quickly in a hotfix and reverted back if they need to, on the odd chance that its 'OP' although thats highly unlikely. |

If Scout performance in 1.4 continues to flatline or slump, then I could get behind lobbying for assistance via Hotfix. We'll have to wait-and-see though. Squad-Sight changes very well may help us out. We simply have no means of knowing, and there's little point to fretting about the unknown. We're only a few days out from 1.4.
I agree with OP's position and concerns. Mediums with more eHP and improved agility. Super Heavies. Aim-Assist reducing Scouts to goo with the slightest of effort. These all sound like really bad news for an already struggling class. But at least we'll have fewer LAVs to contend with!
Come what may, we'll know if we've been boned or blessed on Day 1. We'll have proof-in-hand by means of Community Statistics on Day 4 or 5. We'll organize a lobbying effort -- if needed -- at the close of Week 1.

CCP already acknowledged scouts need love, I believe they said they couldn't do it for 1.5 and were hoping to do it in 1.6. Don't worry, the scouts wil have their day. Besides you wouldn't want scouts to balanced with how things are now, then have aiming improved making scouts useless, then have a need for another buff but then CCP won't pay any attention to it. |

Very true, I was in scout heaven when lasers used to be "op", made life extremely entertaining as a shotgunner, never died once to them either. |

The Problem CCP really needs to adress is:
The fact other suits do the Scout's job a lot better.
Say:Minmatar Logi Minmatar Assault Cal Logi Cal Assault
These suits have ENOUGH slots and PG / CPU to equip Profile Dampeners/Kinetic Kats/Cardiac regulators to achieve Scout like speed and endurance,profile dampening and enough High powered slots to shield tank effectively.
I play Scout or Heavy depending on the situation. But its incredible how hard it is to fight a ''Pseudo scout''. Yesterday i fought against a guy names Sei (something) . He was one of these Pseudo scouts.He ran almost as fast as my minmatar scout and i just couldnt run away from him.He was packing a CRG-3 Shotgun on a Proto Caldari logi suit.
He was almost as fast as me, with 300+ EHP,Bonus acquired Armor repairer ...Leaving me thinking, If he had a Profile Dampener he was just a scout but better,Scout 2.0.There is NOTHING i could do he couldn't do better. Not to mention he had 3 equipment slots.
CCP needs to give Scout an ADVANTAGE, a true one.Something that Makes us excel at something, other suits can only barely imitate. |

CCP needs to give Scout an ADVANTAGE, a true one.Something that Makes us excel at something, other suits can only barely imitate. You hit the nail the on head there. Logi suits in general have way better fitting options and in this game slots are power. The fact that a CalLogi has 5H/4L and 3 EQ pretty much lets them do whatever they want. The slot counts on Logis needs to be normalized. They're suit bonuses are way Bette than anything the scout suits offer and the only thing they seem to be worse at us getting detected easier, which hardly matters as it is.
Scouts do need some love, but Logis also need to kinda be retuned as a whole. Their suits are way more versatile than anything in the game. The only thing a Logi CAN'T do is wield a Forge Gun (don't get any ideas CCP...) |

2-Scout specific equipment: Whenever the scout stands still he becomes 100% invisible. Done XD

If Scouting in 1.4 is gets worse I'm going to take a 3 month hiatus check back and if no progress give up and uninstall for a year or so. Really getting tired of the lack of progress for this class. I feel like a secondary citizen in this game at times. Absolutely soul crushing at times and for a game to make you feel that way you know it is BAD. |

Scouts should have more base HP. They're too damn weak. Then scan radius should be 30m minimum. Scout can't scout anything with the current scan radius.

It doesn't. Currently the collision box (not to be confused with the hit box) expands the faster you sprint. This is a bug and supposedly this has been fixed in 1.4. But your suit's profile will remain the same even if you fire your weapon. |

More slots would be fantastic! Cloaking is cool but not for everyone, cloaked heavy, run past , uncloaks kills u , cloaks again, I do that in crysis hardly ever get killed |

PARTICULARLY for Scouts. Not, exclusively. This means there's still not going to be anything involved that a well fitted logi can't do better.

The fact that they made a blog about it talked about it like it's important for scout highly suggests that it's very very likely that they will introduce it despite how old the blog is. |

PARTICULARLY for Scouts. Not, exclusively. This means there's still not going to be anything involved that a well fitted logi can't do better.
Not unless the CCP adds covert-ops scout suits with inherent bonuses towards cloaks. |

Cloaking is cool but not for everyone, cloaked heavy, run past , uncloaks kills u , cloaks again, I do that in crysis hardly ever get killed Ahem... heavies can't carry equipment as far as I know. The cloak is an equipment item. Not even a proto commando ? Ahem |

What my ideal scout fixes would be (all or a combination of them):
- Buff the base speed (walk & sprint) a serious amount. - Hit box fixes (I'm skinny ffs) - 2 Equipment Slots - Bit more PG & CPU - Bonus to Hacking - Stamina tweak - More base or less usage for running/jumping - Bonus to side arms (reload/pg/cpu etc.)

I agree with everything bar the equipment slots and hacking. 2 equipment slots should be for some light suit specialism and hacking should be a scout racial bonus for one of the races. I'm also not entirely for all those bonuses for sidearms - reload speed would suit though but as each suit only gets 2 bonuses (one role and one racial), this too would have to be a racial skill for one of the races, perhaps amarr? |

If a logi wants to use an EQ slot for the buffest, most expensive active scanner in the game in order to see me when cloaked, well - no problem there. Just remember to use it when you think I'm sneaking up on you (and don't forget to make a really good guess on the direction I'm coming from).
And, if that logi wants to fully skill into profile dampening to get to a 45db scan profile, and then further reduce it with a dampening module or two in the low slots, and pray I'm not running an active scanner looking for them.... well, that's cool too. Just remember to keep something left over for biotics so you can run away, or use a shotgun because once you shoot - I'll be all over your yellow ass like white on rice with my shotty and SMG.
Assuming, of course, that all it takes to cloak is an EQ module, and it functions the same for medium and scout suits.
You guys get your HP, and your modules and your EQ..... try to at least consider that you may actually be second fiddle at something eventually..... |

I'd be happy to see hacking and equipment slots be part of racial specialisations, Caldari? Amarr?
As for the side arm bonuses, they are examples and not all of them should be used. Using "/" as OR.
Edit: RE: hacking, seems a bit counter intuitive for Matar logi to be the king of hacks imho. |

Get cloaking equipment into the game, just give scouts a HUGE reduction in CPU/PG for using it on the suit compared to the others and give Scouts a equipment slot for it too. |
