It doesn't. Currently the collision box (not to be confused with the hit box) expands the faster you sprint. This is a bug and supposedly this has been fixed in 1.4. But your suit's profile will remain the same even if you fire your weapon. |

Have you read up the dev blog?

It isnGÇÖt perfect invisibility, scanners will still pick you up if you havenGÇÖt masked your signal well enough, motion will disrupt the field to some extent and weapon fire will cause the field to shut down. This means it will take some skill to use to its maximum potential. This item is going to be a real game changer, particularly for Scout dropsuits which have been screaming out for stealth gear.
If you look closely, there will be drawbacks with the cloak. Unlike the cloak glitch that you see right now, the cloak they are making will likely operate like the cloak in Eve Online where you have to disable your cloak to use any weapon at all. |

Ahem... heavies can't carry equipment as far as I know. The cloak is an equipment item. |

That's from March. I hope they never add cloak. Give the scout some more slots, this is what they need.
The fact that they made a blog about it talked about it like it's important for scout highly suggests that it's very very likely that they will introduce it despite how old the blog is. |

PARTICULARLY for Scouts. Not, exclusively. This means there's still not going to be anything involved that a well fitted logi can't do better.
Not unless the CCP adds covert-ops scout suits with inherent bonuses towards cloaks. |
