When the first batch of Templars was created they ripped the implants out of a bunch of sleepers to do it, meaning they're carrying the mind of a sleeper inside them. It was the sleeper inside that was writing 514, so it doesn't really make sense that they'd be referring to a specific moon in known space. 514 has to have some connection to the sleepers themselves.
While the idea of the 1 referring to a progenitor race is interesting, it doesn't quite make sense that an enraged sleeper consciousness would write about a common ancestor. My feeling 514 is the number of sleepers that were killed to create the Templars. Either that or the virtual world facility they were in contained 514 sleepers. After being connected in a kind of hive like that for thousands upon thousands of years they're now alone, and are obsessed with being reconnected. |

The Dust meaning is easy to figure out Dust represents multiple things all of it correct with the meaning of Dust here. The mystery are the numbers Five One Four could have no meaning 5 1 4 is fun to just say, could mean the age of some kid's, a date, a birthday, a release date or beginning or conclusion, Star War's has The Five O First - The 501st which are clones perhaps they are saying this is the next age of cloning, it could be a location, maybe the location where the human race was before entering the natural occuring wormhole in space to New Eden, or a new undicovered location perhaps in wormhole space, maybe insane people's writings, something the sleeper's or the Jovien's only know of, a code, a password, perhaps relates to a section in a book, Dust 514 though does connect to The Caldari in some form just not sure how, why & where, perhaps it's a new technology, maybe a # of a fleet or # of clone's or drone's.
Or we could pay off a CCP worker to just tell us. How about we set-up a ISK reward all of us pitching in & raising the pot whoever finds the answer gets the pot but a DEV must confirm it's the right answer. :) |

Also in modern china if you say Five One Four in they're language it sounds similiar to "I want death" & 5 = not, where '54' = 'not dying', and '58' = not prosperous
