Hey everyone! How many of you got to actually play any this weekend due to the servers being flooded by the masses going all googoo over some FFXIV? I was able to play some and it kind of sucked that the early access was spent dodging emergency server maintenance due to the "millions" of players flooding into the realm. I managed to actually get my GLA to lvl 20 and when the instances was not available, I took up fishing and got it to lvl 11, which is actually fun as well. I will be doing videos once the NDA is lifted on Tuesday, with focus being on "Tanking 101" all the way up to PLD and beyond, plus I will be showing great locations to fish at to get those prize catches. So what class did you choose to play and what crafting guild did you choose?

And if the NA/EU servers are still jacked up due too massive flooding on release, I will be transferring to the Japanese servers where there is no server issues, and never will be more than likely.

Played two betas in which I never got higher than lvl 25, couldn't play pvp content, healing is sh!t outside parties (I played healer,) and couldn't play 2 out of 3 days the server was up. My only option is to play on jpn server.

Then they expect me to pay 13$ a month for 'better servers and gameplay experience'?

I'll stick with dust thank you.

I don't mind paying a subscription for a good game. But it has to be a good game, and it needs to have a stable player population otherwise it isn't worth it. Luckily, if FF11 is anything to go by, this new one ain't going anywhere.

The only FTP MMO that I'll ever touch is Rift, because Rift doesn't nickel and dime you for essential features, and it doesn't lock you out of content. Rift is FTP done right.

Seems like it would be a great game to play with a few friends like borderlands if it was F2P and had voice chat. Its only a little more 'MMO' than dust. Kinda said that MMOs have been around 10+ years and lobbyshooters and small-party quest games are labled as such.

The game is good but I won't get it because I refuse to pay 40 dollars for the disk and 15 dollars a month to play it, definately not worth it.

You should have bought the PC version, they had it on sale for 22 bucks, no tax. Includes a free 30 day membership.

You can configure the PC version to work like the PS3 version, it has a mouse and keyboard/ Controller selection button.
I'm playing it on the PC with my DS3 controller, and it's absolutely wonderful. The "emergency patches" are getting annoying, but it's understandable with it being a new release and all.

PS3 version also has a 30 day trial but still not worth it, if they drop the price to 7-10 a month I would get it.

I love sub games, so much less crap to deal with and it doesn't feel pay to win or like everything thats halfway decent requires money.

I prefer sub games too, but like I said, Rift is in a really good spot right now. Lots of stuff to do in that game. Whenever I play it, I feel inundated with content. I played twelve hours last weekend, and my wife threatened to break my monitor.

I really enjoyed rift, but I had to leave after they nerfed hammer knell the moment we completed akylios prenerf. I can't support games that constantly nerf their content like that :/

I haven't been back since, but from what I've read going F2P hasn't done rift any favors. Sounds like they aren't making as much money as they were when they were P2P.

I played for a few hours today. Made the mistake of logging off and can't log back on. Took all day yesterday to be able to play for a few hours today. Seemed fun, I've been a fan of FF games in the past and wanted to try this one as well. Just a little disappointed about the fact that its almost impossible to get on and play any due to server congestion.

Edit: I'm on exodus server. After they fix the server issues if anyone wants to group up hit me up with a mail. Same character name as my dust character.

My son started out as a LNC.. due to him liking the Dragoon class so much on FF xi online, and my female friend is playing CNJ, so it is fun being able to have a party at any moment at home. I am really liking the tanking, but the downfall that I am seeing is that it caters to "newer" players that are not used to this type of game, so I as well am hoping for good end game....

And notorious monsters that pop at random times after place holders or other criteria have been met will be nice that drop rare loot as in FFXI online, that and the auction house needs to allow more than 2 items per retainer be listed IMO

Adventuring on Hyperion, xfter character from 1.0. I will say this game is a vastly superior improvement from 1.0.

Now all it needs is the last few missing classes.

Been playing since the last beta they had and love this game. Lvl 26 THM, Lvl 14 ARC. Had fun with DUST 514 but can't stop playing FFXIV now. I log back on maybe once or twice a week, meh....just getting bored with DUST and this game came at the right time. I had minimal issues during launch and was able to play and afk :P

And as far as the $12.99 a month, I'd gladly pay ccp that if this game was finished.
