* Removed rotation modifier on heavy frames - all frames can now rotate at the same speed
* Adjusted Armor Plate attributes - HP bonus of 85/110/135 (Basic/Enhanced/Complex) and speed penalties of 2%/3%/5% (with full skill bonuses this equates to 93.5/121/148.5)
* Adjusted Ferroscale Plate attributes - HP bonus of 35/50/75 (with full skill bonuses this equates to 38.5/55/82.5)
* Adjusted Reactive Plate attributes - HP bonus of 25/40/60 and speed penalties of 0%/1%/1% (with full skill bonuses this equates to 27.5/44/66)
* All handheld weapon reload skills now have a cost multiplier of x3 (down from x6) and their skill book ISK price reduced to 203,000 from 774,000
* All heavy weapon reload skills now provide a 5% bonus, up from 3%
* The Forge Gun, Mass Driver, Swarm Launcher, and Plasma Cannon ammo skills now provide 1 extra unit of ammo for each level of the skill (for a maximum of 5) instead of a % bonus per level
* The HMG Operation skill bonus has been changed from reducing heat build-up to reducing recoil by 5% per level
* Overhauled, retuned and reactivated aim assists for the control pad
* Fixed a bug that was making dropsuit strafe speeds too fast
I know some of these things affect other roles, but I believe they are huge improvements for Heavies as well. The biggest improvement is the turn speed buff. It will make HMG wielding heavies the CQC beasts they should be. |

For me it's the armor plate buff. More armor+less speed penalty=happy fatty. I want to see how the HMG will act with the skill change, I'm kinda on the fence about that one. |

It will take a day or so to adjust to the turn speed, but once you get used to it, your scores should dramatically increase. |

Probably.
I'm gonna try the assault Forge Gun on my alt, with the new turn speed it could become even more overpowered.

Nope. All heavies had less turn speed than other suits. |

All heavies had less turn speed than other suits. It was supposed to be a balance factor, but it ended up being too much of a penalty. You can't take a suit that already can't move worth crap and then make it slow as dirt.
Now they should be more able to compete, rather than just being turrets you leave on objectives. |

The Forge Gun one is actually a nerf to charging time, which I can live with. Other than that yeah, this Update excites me. |

has no one noticed that they are removing the heat build up skill tree/ you guys do remember without it maxed out you overheat all the damn time then you are locked out of sidearm nades and are vulnerable for 8 seconds.
I would like to know more on what level they are leaving the overheat cause if it it is back to basic levels I think 95- 120 shots then you over heat. this would be annoying and be a huge nerf to hmg. |

Well you got to remember as you go up the tiers the overheat is lessened, so you would be able to get more shots off with an MH-82 than you can with the basic. I think if you use adv/pro the overheat would not be a problem. |

Basic HMG- GÇïHeat Build-Up Per Second -14.0 MH-82- Heat Build-Up Per Second -13.3 Boundless- Heat Build-Up Per Second- 11.9 So even without the skill there is still less buildup as you go up the tiers. |

I agree, most people think ow yes a buff, but what they are not realising is that ccp just turned the hmg in a burst weapon. No longer will a heavy be able to unload his/her clip in one go, no longer will it be an area supressing weapon. After so many seconds your hmg will go into overheat and you still get shot easier, since your stuck with that 8 sec animation every so many sec.
The damage hasn't increased to counter it, all you get is the ability to have more bullets hit. ow yes yippie....Sure instead of having 100 out of 400 hitting you might have 200 out of 400 bullets hitting, but hey won't do you much good if you can only empty a tenth of you're clip every time. ow sorry i'm using a proto hmg, ow yes now i'm a god since it's a quarter of my clip now instead of a tenth.
But hey why worry ccp just gave a mini buff to turning speed, atleast they won't be running circles around you anymore. And since you can't kill so fast or at all for that matter, ccp decides to give us hvy's a mini buff to armor, atleast that way you might be able to get a 2 sec window to escape your death sentence if your lucky or give the gang of red berry's around you atleast a few more seconds of laughter, while you trie to play the game hit the mole without the hammer.
trust me this is not as possitive as one might think, we hvy's just got nerfed again, no matter what way you put it. The suit might have had a buff, but the hmg got nerfed. |
