Did your line break when you tried to fish for the big fish in the lake of Eon. From what i have read you guys did a very poor attack. There are much smarter ways to attack Eon. then going straight for its top corps. I mean Come on what did you expect attacking top tier guys. |

. From past experiences I have been in pc matches that have beaten Eon corps. You should know which corp is not a strong yourself. When i was in LOI I knew who were the bad corps. |

You guys should really rebrand yourselves. You have enough imps though that you should be wary of what happens if you ever suffer some defeats. You now have plenty of players who have previously shown that when the going gets rough, they get going.
Just remember what happened to the Imps after only a few defeats at the hands of TP. Expect similar results if things don't keep going your way.
I am amazed that you guys didn't get any Good tankers out of the deal though. Would have expected you to at least attempt to shore up your weaknesses. |

yea but honestly, why bother with tanks? :P
instead of shoring up a 'weakness' how bout I just develop a plan that removes that 'weakness'?
tanks are expensive... I'm cheap. Why should I pay my guy to throw his 3m+ tank out there when I get another guy with proto swarms or forge to render the oppositions heavy armor useless?

So what if all of the imps who joined for some battles leave after a few losses? The corp was solid before they joined and would remain solid if they decided to leave.

Whom do they have? Imagio and Exer from TP are not good enough to face down any of the big Armor boys.
Mary Sedillo seems to be alright, but since that was a lopsided match I can't say for sure.
RND doesn't have any tankers of note, as evidenced by the fact that one of their tankers rides around with a proto forge for AV duty. A real tanker uses his tank to kill tanks, not his dropsuit.
Mavado can hide in the hills with the best of them, but beyond that I can't say. Clay is great with a blaster, the best even, but a blaster tank in PC has it very rough.
No, most of their tankers are softies who are used to rolling around with a squad of protos in pub matches to inflate their egos. When forced to actually fend for themselves, most of them end up living in the redline like scrubs.
The funny thing is that they would be better off not even running them, as another gun on the ground with AV nades would be more beneficial for the team. Hell, someone with a logi LAV and a dren suit with Lai Dais could probably be more effective. |

Oh look, more propaganda.
I never applied. I asked Cubs if you guys needed tankers. He replied in the affirmative, and that I should get in touch with Exer and Imagio as they were the powers regarding tanking in TP. Then we had two matches versus TP were Exer and Imagio got slapped around. I had fun, and realized that if you were leaving your armor in those guys hands, there was no need for me to break their nice little bubble.
But hey, nice to know you went digging through the crates to find an old mail and try to spin a story. You guys really can't take any criticism well at all, which is odd considering taking on those imps should have given you a tougher skin. |

Believe it or not, its a mutual friendship of gamers. Imps are still imps longterm. Sure each will have the option to remain a Team Player, but this is far from expected nor even hinted at. As for dust, they are a part of Team until they choose otherwise, and we are having fun playing.
Few really believe it, but imps are alive and kicking...just not on this game. As with most established groups, sooner or later they move on to other games.
And even to my surprise, our playstyles have meshed well almost instantly, thus more tears from the collective masses. :P |

The Legend is one of those that I cannot speak to as I have not faced him in battle.
But that scenario you describe is precisely why they are bad tankers. They are used to having their heavies and assaults do their job for them.
You can't be good at your job without actually practicing it. Sniping at infantry from the redline is not the role of a tank, especially in PC.
I'm sure the TP leadership will get all up in arms about someone as lowly as me criticizing them, but thankfully I don't care. The fact of the matter is that if they had better tankers, and a better plan to use them, they could be more dominant than they are.
If they had tankers who could actually destroy vehicles they wouldn't need to send a half squad to hold the high ground to protect them. |

All true at the time. No app sent, we talked about it some and never went further. And now im glad for that.
No 1 single person means anything. U wanna talk about tanks, good for u. Our tankers do their jobs to help our team WIN.
If they want to run enforcers as it helps them perform their job, so be it, we can afford it.
All I care about is everyone doing their job. I pay them handsomely to do just that, as our 401k is in constant disbursement.
O u 1v1 one of my tankers? Cool. Congrats. Which TEAM won?
No, seriously...who won? Tanks don't win matches anymore than a sniper holding a point. 16 people executing a gameplan and outperforming their opponent does.

You miss the point entirely. Those "high points" do multiple things other than anti-vehicle. Maximizing the 16 spots in your team is what makes a team good... being able to fill multiple roles.
Blaster tanks are rendered useless in PC due to AV Grenades\swarms. Railgun tanks allow you to maintain range covering objectives and killing other tanks... but... You're rendered to a very limited role in PC against good\great teams.
Running Swarms/uplinks/Side-Arm allows really good players to serve the purpose that a tank would as well as helping out with multiple other roles - foward movement, capping objectives, Dropship movement, spawn locations, covering of objectives, urban combat, etc.. You help the team much much more... at a fraction the cost.
When your tank dies, how long does it take to get back to the action? That same Swarms guy respawns and is back helping at that objective within 3 seconds.
It's called "perspective". They do it their way... and it's effective. You can keep banging your drum all you want, but until you open up to actually understand why the great teams become great... you'll remain short-sighted in your approach.
They Maximize everything. Were tanks to return to glory via game mechanics, watch how they adapt. |
