TeamPlayers. total scrubs TBQH, have been hiding under EoN's skirts shaking in their space boots since forever. You guys should really rebrand yourselves. You have enough imps though that you should be wary of what happens if you ever suffer some defeats. You now have plenty of players who have previously shown that when the going gets rough, they get going. Just remember what happened to the Imps after only a few defeats at the hands of TP. Expect similar results if things don't keep going your way. I am amazed that you guys didn't get any Good tankers out of the deal though. Would have expected you to at least attempt to shore up your weaknesses.
They do have good tankers, however Tanking in PC is pointless, so they only use them for specific purposes. |

Thelegend does just fine as a tanker, from what I've seen.
Maybe I'm giving their Tankers too much credit, anytime I've squared off with any of them I have DD's swarms and Cub's forge hitting me all in unison. But in a team game, how can you hold that against anyone? |

But in a team game, how can you hold that against anyone? The Legend is one of those that I cannot speak to as I have not faced him in battle. But that scenario you describe is precisely why they are bad tankers. They are used to having their heavies and assaults do their job for them. You can't be good at your job without actually practicing it. Sniping at infantry from the redline is not the role of a tank, especially in PC. I'm sure the TP leadership will get all up in arms about someone as lowly as me criticizing them, but thankfully I don't care. The fact of the matter is that if they had better tankers, and a better plan to use them, they could be more dominant than they are. If they had tankers who could actually destroy vehicles they wouldn't need to send a half squad to hold the high ground to protect them.
You miss the point entirely. Those "high points" do multiple things other than anti-vehicle. Maximizing the 16 spots in your team is what makes a team good... being able to fill multiple roles.
Blaster tanks are rendered useless in PC due to AV Grenades\swarms. Railgun tanks allow you to maintain range covering objectives and killing other tanks... but... You're rendered to a very limited role in PC against good\great teams.
Running Swarms/uplinks/Side-Arm allows really good players to serve the purpose that a tank would as well as helping out with multiple other roles - foward movement, capping objectives, Dropship movement, spawn locations, covering of objectives, urban combat, etc.. You help the team much much more... at a fraction the cost.
When your tank dies, how long does it take to get back to the action? That same Swarms guy respawns and is back helping at that objective within 3 seconds.
It's called "perspective". They do it their way... and it's effective. You can keep banging your drum all you want, but until you open up to actually understand why the great teams become great... you'll remain short-sighted in your approach.
They Maximize everything. Were tanks to return to glory via game mechanics, watch how they adapt. |

As in he handles himself, does that require explanation? Here are some more examples - Cubs handles his business with a forge, or Deranged Disaster handles himself with an AR, or RegCorruption handles himself with whatever weapon he decides to use that game, or Sotah handles his forum bidness. |

SoTah Pawp wrote:Why all these talks of tankers like they matter? One heavy on a roof - no more tank problem. My LLAV probably gets more kills in PC then most tankers.
Not only that, but the heavy can cover objectives, blast infantry movement, and control the high points so the other team cannot.
Multiple roles... Maximizing. |
