You guys should really rebrand yourselves. You have enough imps though that you should be wary of what happens if you ever suffer some defeats. You now have plenty of players who have previously shown that when the going gets rough, they get going.
Just remember what happened to the Imps after only a few defeats at the hands of TP. Expect similar results if things don't keep going your way.
I am amazed that you guys didn't get any Good tankers out of the deal though. Would have expected you to at least attempt to shore up your weaknesses. |

Whom do they have? Imagio and Exer from TP are not good enough to face down any of the big Armor boys.
Mary Sedillo seems to be alright, but since that was a lopsided match I can't say for sure.
RND doesn't have any tankers of note, as evidenced by the fact that one of their tankers rides around with a proto forge for AV duty. A real tanker uses his tank to kill tanks, not his dropsuit.
Mavado can hide in the hills with the best of them, but beyond that I can't say. Clay is great with a blaster, the best even, but a blaster tank in PC has it very rough.
No, most of their tankers are softies who are used to rolling around with a squad of protos in pub matches to inflate their egos. When forced to actually fend for themselves, most of them end up living in the redline like scrubs.
The funny thing is that they would be better off not even running them, as another gun on the ground with AV nades would be more beneficial for the team. Hell, someone with a logi LAV and a dren suit with Lai Dais could probably be more effective. |

tanks are expensive... I'm cheap. Why should I pay my guy to throw his 3m+ tank out there when I get another guy with proto swarms or forge to render the oppositions heavy armor useless?
I mean come on, I picked up SoTa... he's good for a dozen roadkill clones a match! don't cost nothing :P

I never applied. I asked Cubs if you guys needed tankers. He replied in the affirmative, and that I should get in touch with Exer and Imagio as they were the powers regarding tanking in TP. Then we had two matches versus TP were Exer and Imagio got slapped around. I had fun, and realized that if you were leaving your armor in those guys hands, there was no need for me to break their nice little bubble.
But hey, nice to know you went digging through the crates to find an old mail and try to spin a story. You guys really can't take any criticism well at all, which is odd considering taking on those imps should have given you a tougher skin. |

Maybe I'm giving their Tankers too much credit, anytime I've squared off with any of them I have DD's swarms and Cub's forge hitting me all in unison. But in a team game, how can you hold that against anyone?
The Legend is one of those that I cannot speak to as I have not faced him in battle.
But that scenario you describe is precisely why they are bad tankers. They are used to having their heavies and assaults do their job for them.
You can't be good at your job without actually practicing it. Sniping at infantry from the redline is not the role of a tank, especially in PC.
I'm sure the TP leadership will get all up in arms about someone as lowly as me criticizing them, but thankfully I don't care. The fact of the matter is that if they had better tankers, and a better plan to use them, they could be more dominant than they are.
If they had tankers who could actually destroy vehicles they wouldn't need to send a half squad to hold the high ground to protect them. |

Lets all bow to TP for beating an indie! True skill! Such prowess. All hail the great TP who can easily defeat a ten man team.
Zion is a shell of what it once was, if it was ever anything at all. Stepping on them is no accomplishment, especially since I think we were outnumbered. But hey, if you want to point to a team effort to explain the failings of your armor, go right ahead. That is a shortsighted view of things though, and you should already be making plans to scoop up whatever actually good tankers there are available before 1.5 hits. You just might find yourself in deep waters if you don't plan ahead.
Nice to see you so full of hubris that no one is allowed to speak ill of your peoples. I would respect that as standing by them except that you deny reality to do it.

Yeah, but you neither look as cool doing it, nor do you get the satisfaction of using something that is UP to do your work in.
Blowing up tanks is far easier than fighting in one. Honestly, if it weren't for the challenge that tanking presents I would have probably quit the game.
