As part of the salvage/spoils, I would very much like to be able to hack and then recall enemy vehicles.
I can't think of a single reason I shouldn't be able to do so, but I am sure some people will protest... please, have at it.

agreed, and when you do it, it will add to it your inventory and take it away from the enemies.
Currently if you hack something, and don't lose it. The enemy will get it back after the match. |

I agree with this idea greatly. As it is i generally make sure to destroy anything i loot sinc emy dropsuits for pub matches are cheap i normally just ram something or drive off a steep clif. I also really like the idea of the summary screen showing how much damage i did in ISK or Aurum and how much i spent in isk.

It's better to drive it to their red line and watch it blow up before they have time to hack it back.
But I agree that we should keep enemy vehicles, though it's kind of pointless (until the market comes out) if you can't use it. |

Might make the game more about GTA than gungame. You can imagine some folk just giving up actually playing to win in order to play to troll by taking the other sides vehicle. People get excited enough about killing tanks, let alone being able to take them.
And at the end of the match when you were gunning down someone to a sliver of amour and...the match ends before the kill - well, were all perfect gentlemen and we leave it there, apparently! Same with vehicles. Our characters are more noble than us!
It'd be interesting to trial it though - though most game developers never seem to trial anything - anything they will put in, it's only with the notion of it being highly likely to stay in there forever.

I would have been able to keep the charybdis I rammed with my Ishokone watch saga, flipped and slaughtered the driver about an hour ago.
Instead I hacked it and left it high-centered on a fence where it couldn't move. the redberries popped their own ally's vehicle. I laughed. |

but technically we are not fighting each other we are fighting for 2 factions that are fighting for each other. it isn't fair if somobdy is waiting for a 2 million isk tank and gets taken out by a MLT sniper, or is run over by an enemy, or friendly LAV that causes him to not be able to grab it. I would LOVE to be able to take sombodies vehicle, but it honestly is just mean, and unfair for the person it was taken from, kinda like when a blueberry steals it.
(also if you don't have the skills to use it then you can't use it anyways) |

Sounds like a great way to give BPO vehicles to your corpmate who joined the instant battle on the other team. |

actually I would have recalling create a single-use BPC rather than duping a BPO.

Though I totally agree with this post, I think that recalling someone else's vehicle should take longer than a regular vehicle. (only the first time though) |

Yeah not a bad idea.
Although only related, I'd like for you to be able to hack enemy equipment as well (nanohives, etc.)

Would make it when I actually see a vehicle more woth while to capture even a milita LAV rather then just blowing it up for the +40 wip. I would deffinately have done this against a few LLAV's I've captured in the past before or tanks (when I get lucky). Even for just the parts that they have on the vehicles I would recall them most times. |

If they cannot give you the vehicle then they should at least give you some bonus isk for the material that you have salvaged from the vehicle. |

I hadn't thought of salvaging that much, but I like the idea of being able to salvage parts, circuit boards, oils, and other pats as we can do in Eve...

Okay, I would not be opposed to this piece of technology, but if we go there at the very least this device should cost a high power slot and be countered with perhaps a longer hacking time, and much like in Eve, your self destruct will be on a timer. |

Yes, that is an ideal situation, that or when they hop out when they think it will be destroyed, then repair and recall...
